Defrosting fridge on fifth wheel
We have a Norcold 1210 4 door fridge/freezer. To defrost they say to take the drip tray out underneath the coils and to put the hose in a container to catch melting ice/frost.
Not sure about the hose. Drip tray is attached in one corner where it drains. Not sure how to detach. Do you have to remove the exterior cover on the fifth wheel to defrost. Want to make sure we do the right thing before we start this task.

The other day I purchased 2 window awnings for the slide out dining and couch windows and 3 flat exterior screens for the 3 rear windows on the fiver...all are see thru...I'll post before and after photos in a couple of weeks. Got them all from Shadepro online for just over $500.

Best way to connect white water hose that won't leak
It seems that I have leaks from time to time in connecting the white fresh water hose to my fiver. Do any of you use those quick connect connections, plumbers tape on the threads....just wondered the secret to stop those annoying leaks when setting up. Yes I use a pressure regulator which helps when I hook up with high pressure water at campgrounds.

Awnings for fiver windows
Don't see window awnings on fivers but most motorhomes have them. Just started to full time and am thinking of getting a few. Where can you get them?

Screen cover for large rear window on fiver.
Do those secreen covers for the rear window of a fiver work like the ones you see on the wind shields of motor homes in cutting down heat transfer. During the daytime you can see out.
Shadepro has them that snap on, for in my case, $59 for the large window and $39 for each smaller side window?.
We have the black glass and can pull down the shades inside but thought if you caught the sun before it reaches inside it would help....thoughts.

The only negative thing I heard about these is that it takes a while to pump out the tank therefore leaving a residue on the sides of the tank where a regular sewer hose you have that gush of water coming out. Is this true or not?

Just got my card the other day and activated it but wonder why I did.
In Kannapolis,NC Pilot diesel is .07cents more than a Shell station I went to.
Checked prices in Rock Hill, SC and prices are .04cents more at Pilot.
Above takes into account cash price less the .06cents off.
Very disappointed.....should have looked at this more closely....,for some reason I expected more competitive pricing.
So now I ask myself why did everyone rush to get this card? I thought .06cents off per gallon was a big deal but apparently not.
Just checked prices in Sioux Falls, SD where we have our mail forwarding company and Pilot is only one penny more than local stations which is much better.

I learned to use CraigsList...got rid of a ton of stuff...trick was to price things fairly....odds and ends were given away mainly to a shelter in town for families.
I think I worked on this for 2 years...house closed on 2/2/2012...now living in our fifth wheel.

Sorry folks...I am on my 4th 50amp Progressive unit....so sadly I personally would say..stay away from Progressive...I can understand one unit being faulty but 4 is just too much and each unit was faulty for a different error code.

Been to 3 of their campgrounds in SC and NC...was very disappointed....I would not look into camping with them....run down....one had tennis courts with grass growing in the cracks...there is better out there and better locations....best of luck.

What do you use to find an overnight campground along an interstate? What do you use? Looked at a guide The Next Exit 2012 at a bookstore but did not seem to help me much.
