RE: 7 pin connector cover

Plug Guard will do a better job at keeping the 7 pin clean.

RE: Slide cover ponding water

Water pools on the slide awning when it rain. It drains off when the slide is retracted. This causes no problems.

RE: Parking Pad for TT

:)
Cleared surface, sprayed with herbicide, layed porus weed block liner (cloth type not the plastic) then 4 inches of rock(1/4 inch #57 gravel), no compaction. 5 years ago works great. Spray entire surface once or twice a year with slightly concentrated herbicide (not weed killer, a herbicide will stop seeds from germinating) using hand garden pump sprayer then follow with light mist regular water hose to wash below surface.
Good advise.

RE: Water flow direction in Forest River Sabre

Therefore, if I remove the inlet to the pump and connect a hose to the fitting and into a jug of pink stuff, the pump should pull it from the jug to all faucets and toilet. Would that be correct? Thanks.
Steve
Yes.
If you don't already have a anti-freeze installation kit, it's easy to install. They're available here.

Install it between the fresh water tank and the pump, as in the diagram above.

RE: Spare Tire (Re)Location

Ex,
Thanks for the photos and explanation. I too was looking for a way to mount the spare underneath. This will help greatly on the relocation.
I have plenty room behind the rear axle.
I'm also tossing around the possibility of building a sliding spare holder, something similar to this, but without the storage trays.
My thought are using Aluminum, rather than steel, to keep the weight to a minimum.
P.S. Thanks to all for posting their photos and explanations.

RE: Axle's

Torsion Axle suspension.
http://www.al-kousa.com/images/anitwist.gif
In these type axle, when the suspension cords go bad, the trailer tend to squat over time.
As the cords start to deteriorate, the overall ride quality drops.
Have you checked?
How much clearance is there between the top of the tire and the fender well?
Are there any signs of the tires coming in contact with the fender well?

RE: Strange sweet/nasty odor

Just a thought, but is OSB(Oriented Strand Board) present in this area?
OSB can give off a bad odor, especially if mixed with Ammonia.

RE: Is a voltage regulator needed?

I would say the campground has low voltage.
Are you using an adapter?
Is your rig 30 or 50 ampere?
If you are thirty ampere rig, use the 50 ampere receptacle and go through an adapter.
I would check the voltage at the pedestal.
My unit is 30 amp and the campground is a small place that only has 11 campsites with that they only have 30 amp power poles. My concern is if a regulator is really nessary. I have not ever had a problem even down to 105 volts. Everything in my camper works without hesitation. The good thing is that this campground is on a lake and most everbody is on the water during the day when demand is the highest. I have seen some "surge guards" that actually shut off your power when the voltage drops to 105 but I would really rather not have my power drop out during the heat of the day.
Not to be a smart a**, but if you've gone this long with no problem, why are you asking?

RE: Axle's

I'd look at OTHER causes for your jerking you describe. Not likely to be the rubber suspension. It is MUCH more likely a hitch problem.
Good luck / Skip
I second Skip's reply. He tows the same trailer as you.
Installing a spring type suspension will not help what you've described.
