RE: What do you put under your jack stands when parked?

Unless you are on a very soft surface why would you use anything?
My rear jacks are too short at times and I would like between 2 & 5 inches in height.
Also they are manual and if I have 5" that would be less turns on the crank down/up.

What do you put under your jack stands when parked?

Looking for an alternative to wood to put under my jack stands when we are parked. I've seen those orange blocks that look compact.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
I think this is called a Lynx leveler?

RV Magazines for Marines?

Many groups prepare "care" packages for soldiers overseas. I just read this article RV Magazines for Deployed Marines And thought if any of you have any RV magazines you would like to donate here are the addresses from the above article:
People who have extra RV magazines they no longer need, can mail them to:
SSgt Owens, John L
MALS 40 QA DET A
Unit 78369
FPO AE 09510-8369
Or, they can send them to RV Daily Report for distribution to deployed troops. That address is PO Box 2221, Sun City, AZ, 85372.

RE: Small Florida sites ???

The parks have been around a long time so were built for smaller rigs. If you are not tied to Ft Meyers there are parks with larger sites.
I am not familiar with southern Florida but have stayed in this park in Jacksonville a couple of times. Don't know that I would stay a season because of the nearby airport and winter weather but for $650 a month including tax (as of October 2010) and WIFI all sites pull thru and 70'L x 40'W.
They have new owners as of summer 2010 and haven't updated their website so can't confirm the current rates Click Here for Park Website but know they no longer have Tengo Internet.
Visited friends in this park in January 2011 Torrey Oaks RV Park, Bowling Green FL $800.00 a month. It has good reviews from RV Park Reviews
Where do other people winter in Florida? How wide are your sites?

Great Show & Good Cause in Sarasota FL Animal Extravanganza

We just went to this 2 hour show yesterday, well worth the price of admission and the money goes to a good cause. If you are in the area we would HIGHLY recommend you stop by. The gates open at 12:30 so you can see the various rescued animals: Bears, Lions, Tigers, Ligers, Camels, Elephants to name a few and the Saturday Afternoon Show started at 2:00pm. The fund raiser is held every February there is one more weekend left, very entertaining and educational.
