RE: Bridge Clearance

I paved highways in New york State for over 12 years. when there was a underpass being paved it was always measured first and if it was 14 feet or less we had to mill under the bridge before we paved. We have a BigHorn and have been to California in back with no problems. I have a built in GPS in my truck I use it but always check that it doesn't take us on some back road where there could be a problem. Just use common sense and you will do fine in your travels. Merry Christmas

We made it!

Left upstate NY on the 13th both of us sick with a cold. Hard trip when you don't feel good. Stayed two nights on the way down the under belly cover on our 5th wheel started coming loose had to stop in rest area and fix it. When we got to our location set up the rv thought we would get some rest. Then the power converter stopped working had to change it. Then the flush valve on our toilet started leaking bought new one and replaced it. Well I hope were done for awhile.

Heartland and Thor

Has anyone had a problem with there Heartland 5er. If so since Heartland was bought out by Thor have you had a problem dealing with the company. We were just at a RV show talking with a dealer about problems with units and not just one certain unit. The answer he was getting form the company is that they were isolated problems yet the dealer has several rvs with the same problem. Dealer is saying its hard to sell the units with no backup by the company. I have known this dealer for years and he always has stood by what he sold.

RE: Cameo vs. Landmark ? for build quality & finacial solvency

Almost bought a Cameo changed our mine at the last minute bought a BigHorn and yes we have had problems with the unit but my friend who bought the cameo is having just as many. So it doen't matter there is no quality control in any of them. (just my opinion)

RE: Water Heater Suburban SF10 DE

Ours has a electric switch inside and out side. We leave the outside switch on all the time. Never had the electric work when the switch was off on the inside. We drained the tank and left the switch on hope it has not burnt the element up.

Kitchen floor problem

We have a 2009 3670 BigHorn and the kitchen floor has a tear in the linolium. This happened fron the slide out being out of adjustment. Has anyone changed the flooring in there 5er? Looks like it mite be a pain. This floor raps around and goes in to the living area. Im thinking maybe tile. Thanks for any information.

Trucks Back

Posted a couple of weeks back about accident with my Chevy 3500. Got it back from the body shop they did a great job. Im very thankful the other driver had insurance alot here in Florida do not. Geico took care of everything we needed. Just the plastic hubcap for the rear dually cost $283.00. The side of the box was bolted on so it made it easier for them to replace. Now will head home in a couple of weeks.

Well it happened

I have 2008 Chevy 3500 LTZ d/w. This is the best truck I have had in a longtime. We spend the winters in Florida and the drivers down here are some bad drivers. My wife and I were coming back from the beach when a kid in a Mazda decided to make a u-turn and run into the side of my truck. I was real upset did quite a lot of damage to our truck. The police gave him a ticket and he said so what its my Mothers car which was destroyed. The attitude of these drivers are get out of my way. So now we will be without our truck for about two weeks. Well at least no one was hurt.

RE: Heating problem of 5th wheel

Our fifth wheel is always warmer in the bedroom stands to reason hot air rises. We turn on our electric fireplace and close the bathroom and bed room door while we are in the living room this works great. At bedtime just open the doors and you can feel the heat going into the bedroom.
