WE signed up for Harvest Hosts, but have not used it. From what I have seen, it is mostly wineries and vineyards.

Lube on Lug Studs

What is the best practice when putting wheels back on? Should I use some never seize or not use anything? I am not sure if the lube may enable them to come loose easier. Any suggestions?

RE: Nev-R-Adjust Brakes

Stu,
How long ago they were invented makes no comment as to how well they work!

Nev-R-Adjust Brakes

I am about ready to replace all the brakes on my 99 Kountry Star. Does anyone have experience with the Nev-R-Adjust brakes? How do they work? Is it just something else to go wrong? The idea of not having to get under and adjust brakes all the time is appealing, just do not want another headache. Thanks for any info.

Electrical Question

This is a hypothetical question. I have 30 amp, 120 volt service. How many killowatts could possibly be used in a 24 hour period? I know that there must be a formula to figure this out. Just curious. Thanks

RE: Setup for Dish vs Directv

Exactly! I have friends that change back and forth every year or two. Seems crazy to me, but I may have to try the same game.

RE: Setup for Dish vs Directv

Thanks, I will try that. One of my problems is that I am fulltime and subscribe to DNS. This is quite pricey for stations that should be free. Will see what happens.

Setup for Dish vs Directv

I am curious if it is more difficult to setup the dish for Dish Network than it is for Directv? I have had a small 18" dish on a tripod for Directv for 10+ years. It is very easy to setup. I have heard that the setup for Dish is more difficult because it has three adjustments vs two with Directv. I am considering a change to take advantage of some discounts that are available. Any thoughts or experiences will be helpful. Thanks.

Indian Nation Turnpike

Has anyone travelled this road from Hugo to McAlester? I know it is a toll road, but I heard it is real rough. Anyone used it lately with a fifth wheel? Any better way? Thanks

RE: campgrounds need to recycle

We were just in 2 TX parks in the hill country with recycling drop off sites within 2 miles. I put out a 5 gal. bucket and sign for recyclables because the park will not do it and I was going to the drop off site, and in 2 wks did not get 1 bottle. (no excuses here but laziness) I am an ardent recycler and composter, sometimes hauling bags 100s of miles till we pass a drop off. We are 11 yr fulltimers from NE PA where there is a great recycling center, but understand the economics in very rural areas.

Rechargeable Batteries

I have just discovered that all AA batteries are not the same voltage. I have been having some trouble with a indoor-outdoor thermometer. The battery life was very short, or it would not work at all. All this time I was using freshly charged rechargeable batteries. Yesterday I was reading the instructions where I read that the batteries should test at least 1.48 volts before installation. I tested the ones I was using- 1.36v. I look at the batteries and they are 1.2v. Upon checking, I found that all the AA rechargeable batteries I could find are 1.2v. I did find non-rechargeable one that are 1.5v. Apparently AAA are the same. This info will hopefully solve my problems. I hope this info might save someone buying these rechargeable batteries and not be able to use them for all applications.

Can anyone advise me where to get glue on rain gutter to divert water away from an outdoor cabinet door? The current seal is leaking when there is a heavy rain. Thanks for any suggestions.

RE: Good Suspension Shop

I am now in the hill country of TX. We are heading to eastern PA. soon. I may end up doing all this myself. I have read that the wet bolts should be faced at either 3 or 9 o'clock. not sure what is correct. Taking the weight off sounds like something to try, nothing to loose. Thanks for the suggestion.
