No more RVng...

Have any of you experienced selling your RV (and tow vehicle)? We are in the process. Besides the "work--ads, phone calls, email" there is the psycholigical problem of our age and abilities.
I would not say that we are having a rough time but it is really new territory for us.
It seems to me that I/we are admitting one more step to the "December" of our lives and it is a little difficult.
Any of you been through this?

RE: Low water pressure at kitchen faucet?

Moen is sending a new faucet and spray.....$45 plus tax for a $258 faucet and spray. Good deal except I may have trouble with installation. :)
The old one is obsolete; no cartridge filter faucets are sold now. I could order a filter cartridge from Amazon for $18, but my wife wanted the new stainless steel model.

RE: Low water pressure at kitchen faucet?

Yes, You all were helpful----there is a filter in the spout and being nine years old it is really clogged,
Today, Monday, I am calling Moen to find out about getting a replacement.
Someone or two mentioned filters and I explored.....took out a couple of screws and twisted the end.....and lo and behold....
I did not even know a filter was in there.

RE: Low water pressure at kitchen faucet?

Yes, the flow was good on the flush.....what a mess. You are right it is the faucet. When I leave off the screen/aerorator the flow is still bad.
I guess I will be buying a new faucet. I take it anything that is for a house will work; like Home Depot's selection.
I installed the kitchen Moen at home by myself so I guess the procedure is similar. Any suggestions?

RE: Low water pressure at kitchen faucet?

I did replace the Moen cartridge (Moen sent one, free of charge) and I cleaned the screen/aerator--same thing, right?
The faucet has a button in the end of the spout that you push and it gives a stream out of a small hole.....I don't know the purpose of that, but it works :)
There is some sort of valve after the water pump--looks like a white sideways bubble light.....what is that for? You think it could be bad?
I think I need a new pump. I am tired of the noise....will that settle my problem????
I tried running the pump while on shore water and still no pressure to speak of in the kitchen.

Low water pressure at kitchen faucet?

I have replaced the cartridge in the Moen blender kitchen faucet, cleaned the screen, inspected the supply lines (that I can get to) and I still have low pressure (read small stream) on hot/cold water.
Could it be something to do with the pump? a valve? We are on shore water here in Chula Vista RV and it still has low pressure. Thw bathroom lavatory and shower work fine....on pump and on shore water.
The trailer is 9 years old.

RE: Anyone else have a bad experience at Cracker Barrel?

Having high cholesterol count here, we gave up Cracker Barrel.

Coat-of-Arms....Hall 1587

Good a.m., I am trying to "clean out" my garage and some items are not "trash", I think.
One item is a 24"w X 36"h, carved wood Hall family coat-of-arms. I do not know if it was on consignment and never picked up or what....my father-in-law carved it about 20 years ago.
How do you think is the best way to give it away? to the Hall family name people, of course.
He followed the peerage book; he was a Bateson, from Clitheroe (sp?)and really interested in that sort of stuff.

RE: Vessel sinks in bathroom?

I first saw vessel sinks in a medium high-end restaurant--Mi Tierra. That was about 5 years ago and the restaurant has gone.....
Perhaps it harkens back to the pitcher and the bowl era. It makes the water availability seem precious :) and in Oro Valley, AZ, water is precious.

RE: Stainless steel appliances?

Hi Tn itchy, :) this is good to hear. We like certain brands for certain appliances...Kitchen Aid dish washer and electric stove (slide in 30 inch) with probe, and a Whirlpool frig....
I do not think we could ever be comfortable with a Frigidaire stove :)
We did have a bad experience with Jenn-Aire refrigerator....tried to do a total kitchen in that brand....the down-draft range was OK but the refrigerator door storage fell out....think all that was white. It was 20 years ago....but don't want to get burned again.
Stainless .....wow...is that a misnomer ? :) looks good in the ads. But then when Brenda wants a replacement for the electirc slide-in they ain't giving no deals.
