RE: Thinking about a Jeep

I am also considering prchasing a jeep as a toad. In all the responses they make no reference to whether you also must have a "brake buddy" when towing. I have a class C 26'.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The Oniedo casino has about 8 water and electric sites at no cost. Might consider this.

RE: Buccaneer State Park in Mississippi

Stayed there in Jan of this year. Just recently opened after last hurricane damage. Everything is new, the power and rest rooms. Only disadvantage are the train tracks directly behind the park. Appears to be little used to date. Out of approx 200 sites only about a dozen were occupied. You will have no problem with sites.

RE: Warantee Work on a C

The dealer does the Rv portion and the ford dealer does everything associated with the Ford.
In fact, I love the ford people and its warranty. Have a 2006 E450 and blew the alternator on Dec 22 2007. I was in a RV park between St.louis and springfield. Called Ford Warranty and they not only paid for the tow- approx. $300, but also the alternator repair and replacement. Oh yea, they also paid for the $100/night motel room while I waited for the repair to be completed. All told, It added up to approx. $1000 that ford paid without question. I didn't pay a penny. I am now a ford man!

RE: Park cable signal

Most basic cable from RV parks, etc. use standard NTSC signal. So remove the converter, change tv input to cable, and do a scan of the channels. P.S. don't forget to turn the antenna power off.
This is definately the way to go. I use the converter box also and when in RV park which provides cable, I physically remove the converter box and connect cable directly to TV

Maple smell; roof top A/C ?

Have been trying to track down aroma similar to dusty maple. Wondering if it can be originating from the A/C somehow.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

She should get a metal! AND they should expand the shock treatment to all those dog owners who fail to pick up after their dogs.

RE: Mississippi Gulf Coast

I second the recommendation for Buccineer state park. Stayed there this January for $25/night with full hookups! Everything is new and well maintained. Almost 200 sites and we were one of possibly 20 in the whole campground.

RE: Can I whine?

You may have to accept the fact that camping, i.e. Rving, is not his cup of tea. To many excuses to enjoy oneself I think.
Really need to sit down and talk this out. Good luck

Toad hook-ups

I know you have to hook up the toad before pushing off for the day. BUT, why do you have to do it it front of my RV at typically 6 or 7am??? I suppose if you're alone without a partner I could understand' but this is usually not the case.
Why can't you all just drive to the exit and THEN hookup??? This process is so inconsiderate to those of us who wish to sleep in at 7am.
AND don't even get me started on those of you who feel obligated to slam every door on your unit at least four times before leaving!!
Cmon folks , a little consideration for those of us who wish to sleep uninterrupted until at least 7am!!!

RE: calloway rv park Hammond La

REgarding the comment about the senior card; state will only honor the card at 1/2 price is if the holder is from deleware. All other state residents must pay the full park price. This policy was was started in June of 2010.
