RE: Torn between 2 trailers

If the interior height is acceptable in the 281, I would go with the longer trailer. Given that is almost 10% increase in living space.

RE: IPOD Touch battery replacement?

This is not an easy task. I have replaced the battery in the original IPOD, and have to do the same in my ITOUCH. At this point I probably will take it to a shop that specializes in doing this type of work. I will not take it to Apple,as they just exchange it with another one, so you have to restore yours to factory settings to eliminate all of your personal data.

RE: I81 in Va and Pa

Only concern is that it can be quite foggy early in the morning from Pine Glen to Wilkes Barre.

RE: Trans-Canada Highway through the Rockies

Should be good, but you need to be aware of the weather, and be prepared to stop and wait for a day or two if they get a heavy snow fall.

I have always used 481. May not be shorter, but not as busy.

RE: Credit Card #'s hacked at gas pumps...

It happened to me, and they made small purchases. I check all my transactions on a regular basis and so caught it early. I can only recommend that you audit your credit charges on at least a monthly basis.

RE: Canadian Shipping Costs

For those of us close to the border, we can have the items shipped to a UPS store at reasonable rates. Never have UPS shipped to Canada as the cost is prohibitive.

RE: GPS tracking device

I have used
protracker. I had an internal battery model, but it did not keep the charge long enough. That was some years ago, but without a electrical source is makes a good boat anchor.

RE: Senior woman with 4 small dogs hoping to drive across Canada

Couple of additional points. In Western Canada the Municipal campgrounds are a good value, especially in the small towns. In the equipment area I would carry one of these Eliminator. It will provide power if you need a boost and will charge and run your other gadgets with having to run the car. I would also get a crank Weather Radio. These are inexpensive and you can get them at The Source (Radio Shack).

RE: Canadians buying a Trailer in US & taking it back to Canada

Yes most Dealers know how to handle this. The onus is, however, on you the owner to make sure it is handled properly, as you will be the one who actually imported it into the US.

RE: Canadians buying a Trailer in US & taking it back to Canada

If you trade in your TT in the US, you have effectively imported it to the US. Did you declare this intent when you crossed the US border. If not you are illegally importing goods into the US. Actions must be taken to make it a legal import. If you do not and US officials find out about it you could be in for a lot of pain.

RE: Canadians buying a Trailer in US & taking it back to Canada

Check on the issues of importing a TT in to the US. Make sure you are clear of any legal issues, as you did not declare this when you entered the US.
