I hope someone answers this because we are interested too. Going to the International Food and Wine Festival in the fall and hope to stop in and talk with HR then. We are looking for a job next year, fall 2013. Someone on here surely has worked there!!

RE: ft wilderness

1.) It is normally easy to take a stroller. You should fold it BEFORE entering the bus. Sometimes when it is crowded it can be hard to fit in on. It also, of course, depends on how big the stroller is. 2.) We have used a golf cart a few times but do not need one. If you are going to rent a cart, it is lots cheaper to rent from an off-site company. (you did say 2 questions) 2a.) I believe you can bring in food and certainly you can bring in drinks. 2b.) Almost all rides have a stroller parking area. You may have to park the stroller a ways before the line and hold her for a while. They normally do have have people waiting in line with the strollers. Also try to make your stroller different (colored tape on the handle, big sign with name, flag, ballon, something) so you can find it easily. hope that helps, have fun.

RE: Looking For Co-Travelers - 2013 Alaska Trip

DW is retired now and (don't tell my boss) I plan on retiring in the spring of 2013. We have an initial plan set up but following this thread for all the good info. The plan is to depart St Louis on June 1st and spend maybe 3 months on the trip. This will also be our start to full-timing so we are looking forward to that too. It will be interesting to use the Alaska/Canada trip to see how our full-timing packing works. If anyone is treking through St Louis on their was about the same time we are departing, let us know and maybe we can travel some of the trail together.

RE: Campground around Branson Mo.

DW and I just came back (yesterday) from a week at Table Rock State Park. They have full hookup but we stayed in an electric site. Bathhouse was clean and a short walk. Sites are not as far apart as other state parks but during the week it was not crowded so that really didn't matter. It is no more than 10 miles from Branson, some of the stuff is closer. We walked to the Branson Belle (showboat). We rented a boat for a day at the Table Rock Marina (8 hours), did some fishing (I left all the fish there for others to enjoy). I would recommend it and we would definitely stay again.

RE: Inattentive car drivers

Check the Nova Scotia vehicle codes. The member is from NS. I did. From the Nova Scotia Drivers Handbook, Chapter2 Using Controlled-access Highways The provincial 100-series highways are designed for more convenient and safer driving. These highways are being upgraded as divided multi-lane roadways with restricted or limited access. Controlled access is permitted at specially designed intersections called interchanges. These areas require the driver’s full attention because one group of drivers is slowing down to exit the controlled-access highway while, at the same time, another group is speeding up to enter the same highway. Use extreme caution in these zones to ensure a save and proper manoeuvre for all involved vehicles. Signs will be posted to inform you whether to merge, yield, or stop. In all these situations, you will be required to yield to through traffic until a safe gap can be identified before you enter the highway. http://www.gov.ns.ca/snsmr/rmv/handbook/DH-Chapter2.pdf Is "manoeuvre" a Canadian thing? Sorry for any typos, I could not copy it.

RE: Sanitizing Your RV Water Hose

If you want to be sure things are clean, the Uniform Plumbing Code, Section 609.9 says: ....... fill the system with a mixture of 50 (fifty) parts per million chlorine to water and allowing the system to sit undisturbed for a period of 24 (twenty-four) hours. Or fill the system with a mixture of 200 (two hundred) parts per million chlorine to water solution and allowing the system to sit undisturbed for a period of 3 (three) hours. Following the allowed standing time, the system shall be flushed with clean, potable water until the chlorine disinfecting residual in the water coming from the system does not exceed the chlorine residual in the flushing water. Guess the bottom line is the time required to disinfect pipes, hose, etc., depends on the strength of the chlorine solution. Do you NEED to do this, probably not if you keep things clean, but once a year would not be a bad idea.

Firewood near Table Rock State Park

Of those that have stayed at Table Rock State Park, can you recommend a specific place to get firewood? I am looking for a face cord or so. Thank you.

RE: what is the best ticket options for disney

The "No Expiration" option is not needed because of not going to WDW this year or next. The regular tickets expire 14 days after FIRST USE, regardless of when they are purchased. The "No Expiration" option would be required if you want to extend your use to 20 days going to theme and water parks. There comes a point where the annual pass is worth the money. It depends on the parks you want to visit and how long you are staying. If you want to extend your ticket use over a couple of years, obviously the annual pass is not the way to go. We get the “Hopper” option because we like to eat at EPCOT. We will visit other parks in the morning but normally end up at EPCOT for lunch and supper. It just depends on what you want to do. We have purchased tickets from Undercovertourist a number of times and have always been happy. It is Disney so it is NOT going to be cheap, and even Undercovertourist is not going to save you a lot of money. There are things you can do to save money at Disney, but I have found that once I accept the cost, it is much easier to enjoy my time there. (We normally go twice a year.) Don’t forget to plan your dining if you want to visit the better restaurants. There are a number of websites that talk about the menus and themes for the different eating establishments. You can go without ADR (advanced dining reservations), but you may have trouble getting in, depending on the time of year and the place you want to eat. Have fun and don’t worry about the small stuff. There is a LOT to do and see and you will not do it all on your first visit. Enjoy whatever you do and leave the rest for another time.
