RE: Roadtrek 190

The bottom line is that if you love the RT and are satified with the price then it is a good deal. We love ours and I'm sure you will too. Many happy miles to you.

RE: Class of 2013

I fully retired a year ago. If I dont have anything to do I go bonkers. We are in AZ for 3 months and I am doing better than last year when it was are first 3 months. Dont know how folks do full time. I have a part time ATV repair business in the summer and if it wasnt for that and my garage and yard to putter in I dont know what I would do. However DW is perfectly content to sit and read and talk the dog for a walk.
Chopper Bill---- Semi retired 14 years ago and fully retired 3 years ago. Now play pool every day, golf 3 times a week, swim, our park has exercise classes, sewing and crafts, pot lucks, cards. Spend winters here and travel in the summer.
Don't know how I would have any time to do any work, can't hardly find time to was the vehicles.

RE: Leaving Alaska by the end of August

We left Alaska yesterday and now in Whitehorse YT for a couple of days before heading south through central BC to Vancouver. We spent all of August in Alaska and really enjoyed our time here. Have never taken the marine highway but it has already begun to creep into our conversation. Next time we will come up in June/July and likely get better weather, it does rain a lot here in August and quite cool.

RE: Ready for a fuel shortage

I can't beleive any one in their right mind would carry gas like that. Just a small rear ender would have the potential to spark and explode. To save a couple of bucks.

RE: Where has everyone gone?

We were there the night of the 10th but only to dump and get water. Its much nicer and quieter to boon dock along the roadside. Homer spit looks like a RV rally, no place to spend the night. Gonna head to Valdez soon.

RE: Alaska-over & under

We are now in Fairbanks, having a great trip. Put over 9000 miles on the RV so far and still six weeks to go. Top of the world was in good shape two days ago. Dempster not bad last week. Keno Hill pretty bad.
We don't care if we have wifi most of the time but when it is advertised we expect it, if a compground can't supply the connection they should let you know when you arive. Its about getting what you pay for.

RE: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?

We drove through National Bison Range in NW Montana and while it was very interesting, it was also very dusty so poor Trekki needs a bath.

RE: looking for others doing alaska in 2011

We are working our way north a bit at a time, from the east coast across middle America to Colorado, through the national parks now at Glacier NP. Crossing into Alberta into Waterton park next week then to Banff and Jasper. Expect to be in Alaska by early August. Going slow enjoying ourselves. Leave some salmon for us.

RE: looking for others doing alaska in 2011

For all of you going through Montana be sure to spend a day or two in Glacier National Park and do the Going-to-the-Sun road. It is definitly time well spent. We will be there in late June/early July on our way north to Alaska.

RE: Sue's web site

Sue t. and Joe b. both deserve a lot of thanks for the information and pictures they have posted and the experience they have shared with all of us. We are heading north to NWT, YT and AK this summer leaving on June 18, (our 45th wedding anniversary) and have used the information from them to help plan our trip. We are looking forward to meeting other RVnet readers on the road. Safe travels to all.
