RE: home dump station ?

I am on city sewer. My cleanout is in the basement. I'd like to get a cleanout installed outside. Anyone know what that might cost?

RE: Small, portable air compressor

I bought a Slyme 230 psi model at Meijer a few years ago. It does a good job.

RE: Bunk Bed help

We looked at a 2011 Coachman Cross Country 385DS last year and really liked the layout. Price was right, $118,000. We decided to wait a few years but I felt like it was a good buy.

RE: Suggestions For Older Car To Flat Tow

We use a '98 Altima manual tranny. Works great and is light.

RE: NFL Tailgating

I've been to several. The best tailgating I've partaken in is Oakland. Plenty of room for RVs as well.

RE: Ridgway--Silverton Colorado Campgrounds

We just returned from Ridgway SP. Loved it. We stayed at the Pa-Co-Chu-Puk campground as they are full hookups. Very nice. Here's a pic of our site in loop G http://i56.tinypic.com/24zayw3.jpg

RE: Why I don't like state parks

Which SP?
Higgins Lake, south park. Roscommon MI. You probably know it.
This didn't happen to of occured Memorial weekend of last year did it? If so, I was there watching the whole ruckus. If not, it was a simliar situation at the same campground, though I thought it was a little earlier in the evening.

RE: Problems with generator

I have a similar problem right now on a 1995 Onan 7.5KW diesel generator. Mine runs great when coach is stationary but surges, drops the load and eventually shuts down when moving. Starts right back up.
Mine too. I have a 4KW gas Onan. Runs great stationary. When going down the road it sometimes shutsdown when under load from the AC. Can't figure it out...

RE: RV accomodations in Moab UT

We just returned from there. Stayed at Portal RV Resort. We liked it. After two weeks on the road, staying in state parks and national forests, the rv resort was well received.

Need some advice on route from Ridgway, CO to Grand Canyon. GPS is routing me down Hwy 145 the San Juan Skyway. Is this road okay for a motorhome with toad? Thanks..

RE: Jacks won't retract

Try extending the jacks then soaking the chrome rods with silicon spray. This will assist in retraction. If they retract, then start lubing them every few weeks.

RE: Zerk locations

Thanks for the info everyone. I just went out and double checked, looked real close...there are no zerks on the u-joints. Wonder how these newer u-joints stay lubed if there isn't a way to grease them?
Forgot to mention, I greased my two rear power gear levelers. The two front ones didn't have zerks fittings. They appear to be a size smaller jack than the rears. Why don't the front ones need grease?

Zerk locations

I changed the oil and filter today on my rig. I lubed the nine zerk fitting on the front. I couldn't find any fittings to lube on the drive shaft or rear of the rig. It is a 2009 F-53 18,000 LB chassis. Are we suppose to lube the drive shaft? If so, how? Are there any places to grease at the rear of the rig?

RE: What did you do to your Class A MH today???

Had a leak coming from the rear cap. I applied eternabond across the rear seam. No more leak. Later on today, I will change the oil and filter, lube the hydraulic levelers for our upcoming trip out west.

RE: Electrical problem

If all the outlets that aren't working are downstream from the working ones, you could have an open neutral on an outlet. From that outlet and down, no outlet will work. Get a multimeter and mesure that voltage at the non working outlets. If you have half voltage, it is an open neutral.
