RE: Wheel chocks for more stability??

wheel chocks are a required accessory.. They may not prevent all movement from your trailer.. But they will prevent your trailer from rolling itself out of your camp site.. A set of jacks close to the trailer springs will prevent the up and down bounce when walking in the trailer.. A set of cross frame support jacks will prevent the side to side wiggle you get from walking in the trailer..

RE: running lights

You have a loose female terminal - crimp it with a pair of needle nose pliers and use dia-electric grease on the terminals

RE: Level enough?

It shouldnt be about hauling level. It should be about getting the the axel weights equal. Adjust the tongue so weight is close to equal on each trailer axel Exactly, this is more important than being level. Apparently we are in the minority of understanding the concept of a trailer does not need to be level to be riding correct. Everyone else thinks level is always right, oh well. Most people do not have a means of measuring axle weight.. Also the axles where installed even (paralell) with the trailer frame.. So nose high loads the rear axle and nose low loads the front axle.. unless for some reason you have a stepped frame or shorter springs on one axle.. which I doubt.. The word level does not mean bubble level - just paralell or even with the road..

RE: Level enough?

with the proper setup - your truck and trailer will ride level (with the ground - A GOOD POINT MADE THERE).. With you trailer sitting level, measure your hitch ball cup hieght.. then Measure your trucks ball height Drop your trailer onto your ball and measure your - Squat (this is the amount the trailer drops your ball height, with proper weight distribution) Truck Ball Height + WD Squat = Trailer Ball Cup Height.. In my case my traile cup hieght is 21" and my squat is 1.5" so my ball height is 22.5"

RE: Skylight Water

In this type weather and your location - it may just be condensation - due to the temp differance inside and out.. I would not be so sure it was a leak yet, although possible.. Do your windows condensate??

RE: Water heater question

60 seconds of the water pump running will not fill the hot water tank.. open the hot and cold water valves in sink and tub, to bleed the air from the whole water system.. If you pull the pressure releif lever (on the hot water tank) it will either bleed off water or air - it should be water.. And it will confirm the tank is full, before turning the water heater on..

RE: Install 2nd AC in 30AMP TT

Anyone install a 2nd AC in your 30amp TT? I was thinking of installing the AC in the front bedroom. Run the wires down into a closet and then into a storage compartment. Install a receptacle, then use an extension cord to the campground 20 AMP pedestal. Anyone do this? This is for a friends TT. Any advise is appreciated. Should work no problem - Hard wire the extra a/c unit to 12ga cord and route it out thru your 30A cable outlet - then plug them both in at CG If you plug it into any trailer outlet and run both A/C units you will keep popping breakers..

RE: Bathtub dimensions

Measure wall to wall - not inside the tub surround... 24 x 46 sounds right..

RE: replacing water heater tank

Price the replacement tank and then the whole unit - sometimes you will find the unit cheaper... The whole water heater will need to be removed - so how much of a PITA it is depends on how and where it is installed.. But a pretty straight forward job for any DIY person..

RE: Insurance Settlement on Travel Travel

You are basicly buying back the trailer for 8700 - can you sell it for more then that?? If not take the check and let them keep the trailer... They will sell it at auction anyway..

RE: New to TT's - how do I properly flush potable water tank?

I would FLUSH it for sure - run plenty of water thru the lines and fill your fresh water tank and drain it...

RE: Enclosed underbelly

My guess is - You have a roof leak that is running down the inside of a wall and is collecting in the underpaning... The most common place is the roof seam where front or back of the trailer meets the roof..
