RE: MS Streets and Trips....GPS mode

Actually you can create a route on S&T's and transfer the route to, in our case, a Garmin. We use this feature because we seldom would use the route generated by the Garmin without some changes. Much easier to make changes in S&T's and export to Garmin. Jim

RE: DSL

FWIW, currently in tx, south of Houston. Park has phone connections at most sites (Verizon). We are sharing a DSL connection with neighbor via router. Check the parks you are considering. Jim

RE: Part-timing for work?

RE: Equal Wheel Balancing System?

B.O., that was done after the beads were installed, did not need any weight on any wheel. Jim

RE: Equal Wheel Balancing System?

Instead of Equal (powder), I would consider ceramic beads. If you air up Equal with any moisture in the air supply, it will clump. You will have to break the tires down to install the beads, but I have good results. Jim

RE: Financing First RV

Not to rain on your idea, but finding financing for a old (used) RV by a 18 year old will be quite a feat. Good Luck Jim

RE: concealed weapon license

I suspect that the vast majority of RV'ers that travel with firearms do not have CONCEALED permits. If it is in your RV who would know its there? NOW there are some Yankee states that have heart burn for you just having one. I suggest you obtain a copy of firearm laws (check google for website) for more precise info. Jim

RE: Battery indicator says LOW

Several things.. 5 year old batteries are at the end of their life even if maintained properly, which your don't seem to be. If yours is a CONVERTER and not a three stage CHARGER/CONVERTER, you are probably killing your batteries with overcharging and really by not checking water levels. Investing in a cheap DVM(digital volt meter) and checking output of charging device and batteries would be the first start to determine what may be the problem. jim

RE: TOTAL NEWBIES, looking for assistance intelligently

I may be misreading your post, but are you wanting to actually "move in" with someone and travel with them to "learn"? Please correct me if I am wrong. Jim

RE: circuit breakers

First, a 12vdc system would have fuses, 120ac has circuit breakers. What is your battery voltage? How old are the batteries? Did you measure the output of your charger/converter? This is the information needed to make any kind of guess as to the problem. Good Luck Jim

RE: E- Zee pass

Why don't you contact the authority and ask that question, answer will probably be more accurate than a forum? Jim

RE: Vehicle Choice

Also realize right off the bat that ANY vehicle or combination of vehicles used in this regard WILL NOT get good MPG. Too much weight and frontal area. Also realize that in a MH with 4 children, its going to be tough to keep them seated and belted in. Do not fall for the, "I can prepare lunch while moving". Picture.. you or one of the kids is up and about, DH has to make a sudden stop, where do you think a person unsecured will end up? Not trying to discourage you, but consider all angles. Jim
