RE: Satellite questions

I have Dish Network. I live in WV and have watched my local channels from NY to Homestead, FL. If I want to watch local channels where I am I use my antenna. You should consider the Dish Tailgater. It is portable and automatically locates the satellites.

RE: red max replacement

You can order it from Lowes online. Our local store still stocks it.

RE: Ready Brake for 1995 Suzi Sidekick

I had the ReadyBrake on a 2001 Chevy Tracker. It should be the same as yours. It worked great.

RE: improving satellite reception

I was having the same issues on my stick home dish. It had gotten moved slightly and not receiving a good signal. After I sighted it for a stronger signal I only loose signal now if it is a very heavy rain. So make sure you are getting a strong signal and you should not have a problem.

RE: Dirty Laundry

I removed the bedroom tv, put a door on the cabinet it was in, and use it for dirty clothes. It will hold about 3 loads of laundry. I put a flat screen tv on the wall over the window.

RE: DDWRT Repeater question

I used the micro build. I reset everything and it is working again. I just installed it a couple weeks ago. I put an antenna on my crank up tv antenna. I'll keep playing with it and see how it works out. I bought the antenna from Jefatech. He also has repeater software but it is $70.

DDWRT Repeater question

I put DDWRT on my Linksys WRT54G router and set it up as a repeater. At first it worked fine. Now when I try to connect it to a network with WPA security I do get the screen to enter the password for the network. I do a site survey and click to join the network and it says it connected to the network successfully but it has no internet. I must have a setting wrong or something. Any ideas? Thanks Jerry

RE: Dynatrac or Double Coin tires

Two years ago I paid the big bucks for 4 Goodyear tires for my drive axle. Two weeks latter one of them blew a hole in the sidewall. Goodyear replace it. My front Goodyears were rivering so a couple of weeks ago I put them on my tag axle and put two new Cooper's on the front. They were made in China. So far so good. My brother-in-law has been running Dynatrac on his Bounder for about 3 years and has been happy with them. He has a gospel group so he is on the road every weekend and puts quite a few miles on them.

RE: Causes of a breaker tripping

As was mentioned briefly in a previous post if the connection is loose it will cause heat to build up and trip the breaker. With the generator off and not connected to shore power try tightening the screw on the breaker that holds the power wire. If it is not tightened firmly it could cause your problem. If that is not loose then I would replace the breaker.

RE: Supplemental Brake System

I vote for the ReadyBrake. I have used it on three toads and you can't beat it for the price and the quality of it.

RE: Haveing dealer remove and re-caulk MH

I just bought a tube of Dicor self leveling caulk for $9.99 to touch up some places on my motorhome. So the most in materials should be about $100 if it took 10 tubes. I'm with the others, check on a local handyman in your area.

RE: Opinions please: Cooper or Sumitomo Tires?

Thanks for the replies. I was wrong about them being made in the USA. The tire dealer told me they were. I contacted Cooper Tire and they said the Roadmasters are made in China. From the opinions I guess I will give the Coopers a try.

Opinions please: Cooper or Sumitomo Tires?

I have narrowed my tire selection for the front of my mh to Cooper Roadmaster 170 or Sumitomo. I am leaning towards the Cooper's for two reasons. 1. They are made in the USA. 2. They are about $135 cheaper for the pair. Any opinions?

RE: 2001 Chevy Tracker 4x4 Automatic

Bill I towed a 2001 Tracker, 4wd, automatic for about 3 years. It was a great tow vehicle. I got a key made that didn't have the chip in it. That way I didn't have to worry about leaving the key in it because it would unlock the steering but would not let the vehicle run.

RE: daytons bike week

We South of Ocala now. We will be going to New Smyrna on Friday. Usually a walk down Main Street on Saturday completes our Bike Week trip.

Tire dealer near Ocala, FL

We are camping in Ocala for a week or so. I need to get two new tires for the front of my motorhome (245/70/19.5). Can anyone recommend a tire dealer nearby that handles Hankook, Toyo, Kumho or other brand of tire, preferably not from China? I am running Goodyears now and the fronts are wearing on the outside edge, like they are known for. So far I've found two Bridgestones for $824 out the door, or two Hercules for $530. I think the Hercules are China made.

RE: Furnace fan "growling", how to replace?

My furnace motor was doing the same thing. About a year and a half ago I found a motor for it on ebay and replaced it. The motor came with simple directions for replacing it. Not that big of a job. I think it was $75 when I got mine.
