RE: When are you ready to go home?

Korbe, I guess I was asking everyone in general. It seems people that are retired and have bigger TT/MH can tolerate it a lot longer than I can. We have a 24 ft Jayco with one couch slide. The bathroom is what gets me most. I need room to breathe in there! Lol I'll bet I could go a lot longer if we had just a bit more room. But we got this TT last year so I doubt we'll upgrade any time soon.

When are you ready to go home?

I'm getting this from one of my previous posts... When are you about ready to come home? We've been out about a week and return home Sunday and I'm ready! Love my little Jayco, but I miss full sized showers, a dishwasher, W/D, and having a little more room to move around in. Is that bad? Tell me I'm not the only one. Guess there goes my full-timing dreams. Lol So tell me, when are you done and ready to get home? Or are you ever?! :)

RE: We can finally mark off our first state!

Does it count if you've lived in it for 31 years?! ;)

We can finally mark off our first state!

We've just spent the past week at Lake Catherine in Arkansas, so we're proud to be able to mark off that state on our list! We normally do campsites within an hour from our home, so it's nice to be able to go a little further this time. Had a blast relaxing but glad to be getting ome soon. Is that bad? Lol A real shower sounds nice! ;)

RE: Trip of A Lifetime

Let me know if you have any Texas questions. My answers would depend on your length as you could spend a month in this great state alone! A LOT to do here!

Upgrading your oven to automatic- is it possible?

Has anyone ever heard of upgrading your RV oven to an automatic starter? It takes forever and a day for our oven pilot to catch. Is this feasible? Thanks!

Thanks for all the answers everyone! I appreciate it! Guess we'll see how it goes and hope I don't hurt/break anything.

RE: Blow drying..? Is that possible?

Darn. I was afraid you'd say the AC. As any southern gal knows, blowdrying your hair without air conditioning is like trying to blowdry it in a sauna. :(

Blow drying..? Is that possible?

I was wondering if I was able to use a blow dryer in my RV or will I possibly have to turn off the A/C to be safe? We have a 30 amp rig. Thanks! And yes, I know it's camping and I need to 'rough it'. But I don't camp, I 'glamp'...glamourous camping. ;)

RE: Texas to Lake Catherine : rv friendly gas stations?

Thanks for the tips everyone. Jennifer handles the posting mostly. But what she meant was her husband is being a baby. Yeah I know this isn't a real big rig but it's still pretty big for me. I'm sure after I do it a couple of times I will be fine. But I am an engineer by trade and I think I will be over-analyzing this until that time. Oh well. I am trying to find a decent one on the way that I can plan ahead with some gas to spare. Will check out that Flying J - thanks. Just a side question. A lot of these bigger gas stations will have a regular set of pumps and then the big stalls where the semis go. Do we generally use these bigger ones? Or are they diesel and semi only generally? Thanks again for all the insight. Hopefully we can start to be more helpful as we get some of these trips under our belt. Josh

RE: Texas to Lake Catherine : rv friendly gas stations?

I meant friendly as in easy on/easy off. :) Trying to avoid pulling off the highway a bunch of times.

Texas to Lake Catherine : rv friendly gas stations?

Heading to Lake Catherine on Sunday from Eisenhower State Park in Dennison, TX. Taking 82 to I30. Any good recommendations for easy/RV friendly gas stations? We've never filled the truck with gas when hooked to the RV. A little nervous we'll get caught in a comical situation. (Comical for onlookers- not us!!)

RE: Destiny RV Denton Tx

We went there for our very first overnight trip in our RV back in 2009. Nice staff but the grounds were very dumpy and crowded. We decided to stay away from trailer parks after that.

RE: Satellite Internet- do you use it?

So you think 5 Gb might be enough for him to work on the weekends? Interesting. Thanks for letting me know!
