RE: Memphis must see, do ?

I liked the ribs better at BB Kings orThe Barbecue Shop (Dancing Pigs) than Rendezvous. But my favorite was Neeley's barbecue spaghetti. We camped at the Graceland campground. Really did not care that the sites were smaller side of normal since we were not there much anyway.

See what? Maybe you have a special talent. :) They do make an impression.

RE: Following Forum advice -Do you do it?

I really appreciate posters sharing their "mistakes" as well as their ideas so that hopefully I can gain knowledge from the more experienced. I do not take everything I read verbatim but most all posts are helpful.

RE: fuel cost

Taxes hurt. But I do enjoy the roads that the tax money buys, well, most of them anyway.

What kind of paint?

I have a couple of the smaller decals that are bad. The rest are are still in very good shape. I am thinking of peeling the bad ones off and painting them on. What kind of paint should I use? Think I could get away with using exterior latex enamel for a temporary fix? Where would I get color numbers if I need automotive paint?

RE: Best name for a dog?

Timex or Seiko. That makes it a watch dog.

RE: Purchasing DirecTv through Sam's Club

I signed up there and had no problem with the deal. The installer (contractor) did not hook up my internet connection like he was supposed to, but Direct sent one of their people out and resolved the problem. Not sure if it was the same sales company or not, but it was through Sam's and it was third party.

RE: Beware Ocean Canyon Properties

Georgia does have a 7 day cooling off period for campground memberships. clicky The Georgia Fair Business Practices Acts (FBPA), also known as the Georgia buyers remorse laws, allow a longer cancellation or cooling-off period for some contracts. These include a 7-day cooling-off period for campground or marine memberships, and health club or fitness center memberships. These contracts must contain a paragraph explaining your cancellation rights in detail. If you have used the contracted services during this seven-day period, you are still entitled to a partial refund, which you should receive within 30 days.

RE: Beware Ocean Canyon Properties

Texas as no buyers remorse law so we are stuck unless anyone has suggestions. They probably don't sell in a state with a buyers remorse law. Good luck. Thye should come up with a law that requires consumers to do their homework first and to read the contract before they sign it. Looks like OP checked BBB after he signed. The "no buyers remorse info" is not in the contract. I think the seller should be mandated to reveal that fact prior to the sale.

RE: Running generator while driving

I know a lot of people never run the dash air and save that horsepower for the drive train, gas engines especially. Use the generator to cool the RV using the house AC.

RE: Beware Ocean Canyon Properties

I have nothing to say about Ocean Canyon Properties except, and I speak from personal experience that I wish I had never gone there.

RE: direct TV complaints

I am sure that there is some truth in there, but he stated more than once he did not read the fine print. They rarely give equipment to anyone. There are very few services that do not require a contract of a year or so anymore. That insures that they don't install equipment and get no return. I will say that I am much happier with Direct than I was with my local cable company. Much more "stuff" for less money. Comcast which does seem competitive is not available in my area.

RE: Need to distroy a lot of paper work

Just went to Google and typed in "shredder lake jackson texas" and several popped up. Should be no problem to hook up with one. Sometimes banks will have shredder trucks to come in and invite customers to use them as a customer service. Might want to check with them.

RE: Alzheimer patient

If you have someone close to you with Alzheimers, Google alzheimers and coconut oil. It may be worthless but maybe not. I saw this couple on CBN that said it helped them. Maybe someone on here has tried it. After losing my Mom with the disease, if I were dealing with it today I would try it.

RE: Recipe for success!

I ate there and thought the food was great, but I'm a country boy and was raised on that kind of food. Took a long time to get in because there were so many trying to eat there. I sorta compare it to someone selling fast cars and then suggesting to only drive the speed limit.

RE: The perils of selling a truck

Yep. Do the transaction at the bank, either yours or theirs. And get the bank to confirm the transfer.

RE: Broncos !!!

Wow! I guess you don't like Tebow. Most of what I hear about him is applauding his work ethic and his humanitarian efforts, not his talent. Even before the draft all the talk was about him not being NFL material. I don't think he will ever be a Brady. I think it’s great that they are talking about him for winning a few games and his positive attitude and others that are doing the “right” thing instead of any criminal kind of stuff. Thank goodness for “goodness”. The Broncos beat the Steelers because they were a better team that day. If their QB was hurt, that is part of the game. New England has a much better team than the Broncos so they won, big. Good luck next week, but I’m pulling for the Ravens. :)

RE: All you Lefthanders out there

The only thing about lefties that bothers me is they always twist the bread bag and twist ties the wrong way. :) Married one and raised one. And yes, I only use my left arm for balance and directions.
