RE: Converter failing... I wonder

mgfiest, ONE thing to check before getting a new one. There are 2 fuses on the converter, possible 1 or both are bad. I am just saying check that just to be sure. Could save you some $$$$.

So we agree then that the OP is wrong and also that most likely he is a troll as the only posts for him are the 3 in this thread.... case closed.

RE: Where do full-timers spend the summer?

I am guessing that those that stay in San Diego do not work. It taxes if you do have got to be high. Also I thought that if you spend 30 days in California yu had to register or get a California Drivrs Lic.

RE: Beware in keys

I think that OP was wrong in not paying the storage bill for 3 months. I think the Park was in thier rights to sell or remove the coach from thier property. I have 2 questions. One why the park is paying anything to the tow company, if it was me there would be no way and I would still file for the back rent, and two if the OP is behind on rent payments how will he ever pay the tow company the $1100.00? If he does not pay them then they can dispose of the coach for non-payment of the tow.... catch 22.

RE: Any campgounds in the south on a lake with a marina?

Spent the weekend 2 weeks ago at this one and going back for this weekend. A very nice place with great folks. Not on a lake but the St Johns river, the great fishing, and boating. http://campresort.com/ The name is Highbanks Campground and Marina and if you look on RVParkreview I posted a review. It is in Debery Florida.

TriCare and Medicare question

Well the time is getting close for me and the DW to turn 65. She will start drawing SS this coming January, I have to wait because I make to much money HAHAHAHA, anyway here is the questions. 1-At 65 do you HAVE TO START MEDICARE? Yes or No? 2-If yes and you are also retired military with Tricare do you still have to have Medicare? Yes or No? 3-If yes how much do you pay for Medicare? I seen somthing about $400+ a month... is that true? 4-I know things will/may change under the new healthcare program but what is happening right now if you have Tricare/SS/Medicare? Thanks

RE: Slow market or what?

Have you opened the back 5-10 pages of a Trailer Life Mag? There are hundreds of TT/5th in there from all over the country. Same on the MH side with Motorhome Mag? The General Lot just of I295 in Jacksonville has what looks like 200 RVs on the lot. Hope you sell soon but I think it is a buyers market out there.

RE: HMMMM... I wonder...

The scaming folks are getting out of hand. A couple of weeks ago I get a call, they want to know if I want to sell my property in Hot Springs. I say will it depends on the offer. The next day I get a call and the offer is REALLY GOOD. Tell them I will talk to the DW. Next day I call back...but in doing so the phone number is not in Hot Springs....it is in Tampa Fl. So I get the fella on the line and all is going good until.... he says he will sell the property for me but I need to send them a check for $750 to insure I don't change my mind about sell it to them and I sign a contract.... I hung up the phone at that point. Yesterday the DW was at the Credit Union and a lady was trying to depost a check from India, the tellers would not do it and the manger told her it was a scam. She was shocked as she was to get extra money because she had sent a check to India yesterday to insure she would get the LOTTO winnings sent to her. WOW.

RE: Hobbies...

In my younger years skydiving, scuba diving, karate, white water rafting, surfing, shooting, fishing, motorcycle riding and girl chasing (got me some too). Now I have to mellow....Kayak fishing, motorhoming, and girl watching. The DW loves gardening and flea markets.

RE: GPS warning

Recalculating, Recalculating, Recalculating, Recalculating. I must say we also have the Our Garmim Nuvi and it is only a year old. Last year coming back from Helen GA, it tried to get me to turn right, in the middle of a 2 mile long bridge. Yes there was a road 30 foot below the bridge but no off ramp. Would have been a heck of a fall. Went to a wedding, I knew how to get there but used the Garmim, took me way around how I would have gone, but when I selected HOME it took me the short way that I would have gone. This last Friday went from Jacksonville to DeBary and it would not go the way I wanted (no matter how I set it) until I was 25 miles for the campground, it kept trying to send me back another way, MAKE A U-TURN AT, MAKE A U-TURN AT MAKE A U-TURN AT.. When we came home it routed me 28 miles longer than it need to. I always do a Google Map search and plan the route I want then print it, that way I can double check the GPS and make sure I go were I want.

RE: Another Fun Telephone Call Today

now that's funny! Had a similar call last week, asked for my hubby. Told him he wasn't available and could I take a message. Said it was about "a virus in my husband's computer!" I just laughed and hung up. Guess I was suppose to let him log onto MY computer from some foreign country and "Fix" it? Yeah right! Perhaps I can sell him some swamp land in FLA while we'll sharing?! I had the exact same phone call .... told him I Ipad could not get a virus and hung up.

RE: Class A motor home vs. car for trip out west

I think the real difference is the speed, not the cost. As valhalla360 said the price difference is not much but in the Honda you can drive 90 MPH in the MH 65 is a better speed. So over an 8 hour day.... you can see 200 miles more of the highway in the Honda. When did they raise the speed limits to 90??? That is one law I would truly welcome, and I missed it.:) I really don't know when they did it but I swear they must have. Yesterday on I95 between Daytona and Jacksonville everything and I mean everything but me and my MH was doing at least 85 MPH. 2 million dollar MHs (1 pulling a 30' trailer) went past me so fast I could not even read the license plates.
