RE: Wildlife Woods - Charlotte-Lake Norman

A warm and heartfelt thank you to all for giving me the heads up.
Ebenezer Park looks good .. it's a little hard to want to roll in without reservations though, even on a sun-wed. And I think we will be trying to go to the racetrack in Hickory (?) .. a bit far; probably not a deal breaker though.
So I'll call the folks at Ebenezer and see what they have to say about availability.
Meanwhile anyone else with comments about Cross Country?
thanks!

Wildlife Woods - Charlotte-Lake Norman

Hi,
Planning the long delayed southern tour and want to spend a week in Charlotte area.
Saw an earlier (Dec '11?) post that mentioned a place called Wildlife Woods that seems to have what we're looking for - location, shade, amenities. However - I can't find a website or photos for the place.
Hoping someone who has been there will tell us more about it. I think someone mentioned "permanent" sites in relation to this park - does that mean seasonal? senior living? garden variety mobile home park?
Would Cross Country be a better option? Does it have shade?
thanks

RE: Florida campground similar to 'Ocean Lakes' in Myrtle?

Thanks for your comments. I'll look into Flagler Beach.
Myrtle Beach certainly has a to offer RVrs; just a little cool in winter.

Florida campground similar to 'Ocean Lakes' in Myrtle?

Hi,
Wondering if there is there a Florida campground similar to Ocean Lakes (Myrtle Beach)? Especially in these respects:
- desirable location
- clean, well run facility
- limited access storage where they (nice people who are talented at moving trailers..) will pull your fifth wheel on/off site
By 'limited access' I mean only the campground-storage employees have access.
* Merry Christmas to all :0)
