RE: what about those people who stop fulltiming?

We fulltimed for 6 years. We kept our house and rented it out for income. In 2009 we had to return home to care for my mother in law (alzheimers). We tried keeping the rig in Arizona but could only get to it twice a year (from Hawaii) so we decided to sell and move on. We both miss the lifestyle alot but we have a grand daughter now and another due in June so that is the positive we cling to. We have had a wonderful life but those six years were the absolute best. Maybe we'll get back to it after the girls get to be teens and don't care to hang out with their old grandparents;(((

water pump

I just had a thought (could be dangerous!) I set up a water catchment system at our house that is just gravity driven. Is there a way I could use an rv water pump to build up psi?

RE: West of the Missisippi...your favorite?

My must go to is Moab. I'd also recommend national parks whenever you can. Being from N.H. you probably enjoy the outdoors so the national parks will be fulfilling for you. Have fun. I'm jealous.

RE: More entries needed

They do not make it easy to post anything negative. I suspect it is because the employers are paying customers so they cater more to them than to the workamper. Plus they are a business and not a chat board. How do you evaluate the validity of the posts? Just some thoughts.

RE: Your Favorite and Why

We were just talking yesterday how our very first workamping experience was the best overall. Others had their positives and negatives but our 4 months at Camp Hatteras on the outer banks of N.C. was the best overall. Great people and wonderful location.

RE: People Who Quit Full Timing

I don't know about statistics but for us, we packed up our belongings but rented out the house. This gave us income while on the road. We full timed for 6 years and, while we missed family and friends, we never missed the stick and brick lifestyle. Now that we have retired from full timing due to family needs (sandwich generation) we constantly miss the full time lifestyle. You don't know for sure how you will feel until you try it. Have an exit plan. Whether you need it in a year or in 20 years. The plan gives you peace of mind to free you up to get absorbed in your new adventure.

We will have our 7 month old granddaughter traveling with us.What type of documents should we have just in case? She doesn't have a birth certificate yet. Thanks in advance for any guidance.
