RE: Liquid Drano

simple answer you don't need it, it will not do you any good. Save your money and just use a good draining procedure.

RE: fuel cost

It's is really called GREED! You charge what the market will bear locally, how close you are to an interstate, who controls the distribution in the area. I have always noticed down in Florida about the time the RVers are ready to head home, the price of fuel goes up 10-20 cents a gallon. The locals complain about this because they get caught in it to.

RE: water heater drips

Just flip you pressure relief valve open shut a couple of times. You are what is commonly called "water logged". The air pocket at the top of your tank has gone. Flipping the valve to drain some water will normally fix this problem. At the same time this will clean any sediment away from you pressure relief valve seat.

RE: RV Plastic Components That Turn Yellow?

I have painted almost every panel door, outside mirror housing, vents, on every Rv I have ever had. Once you do paint them, you fix the problem for good. I use a quality industrial grade spray can paint. Prepping properly is the key though.

RE: The one specific suggestion you would make to RV makers...

An option for simple graphics on the outside as opposed to the mass of chicken tracks you are forced to take.

RE: Following Forum advice -Do you do it?

I am with "SKIPNCHAR". I do wish some of the people that try various hints, suggestions, advice, ideas would come back and share their experience. We don't all have the problem at the same time, but we may eventually. Does this make any sense?

RE: Do not buy

You are the captain of your ship, in this case a P.U. truck. You mistakenly made a decision to enter a wet field. They had to pay for the tow truck whether you used it or not. If you can wrap your mind around this. You were both losers.

RE: Did you know Newmar pays their factory workers $30+/hr

I live in the RV manufacturing country. No one I have ever heard of makes anywhere near that at Newmar or anywhere else making RV's.

RE: Do you suppose that RV manufactures...

Your question has been debated many times for many years on these forums. We know for sure that Winnebago did read these forums. I imagine some others did to. However, whether it influenced their thinking or operating policy or not is any one's guess. Probably the greatest benefit comes from what you personally learn about certain products and make decisions accordingly.

RE: What to see and do in Asheville, NC?

Asheville N.C. is one of the loveliest cities anywhere. You already have a nice itinerary picked out. I would suggest a leisurely drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway to at least Blowing Rock. The scenery is mind numbing and Blowing Rock is a quaint and fun town to visit. May, might be just a bit early for the "fire on the mountain" Azalea bloom, depends on the weather.

RE: Are trailer manufacturers unionized?

Contrary to many commenting on the RV manufactures in Indiana. They are not primarily staffed with Amish workers. Most are just ordinary people, many transplants from other states. Any of them would do better work, but you have to see how the companies are run to understand what the problem is. Only just a few had a policy of, (if it doesn't pass inspection), shut the line down and fix it now. The rest was out the door and to the dealer.

RE: Are trailer manufacturers unionized?

Indiana has been a right to work state for many years. However, if you did not wish to join the union, you still had to pay monthly dues. In other words you play you pay. Now you don't have to pay.

RE: RV Show today....Where is the creativity and innovation?

Most of the comments so far explain why there are no vast changes in RV's. We are too ready to accept the status quo and will keep doing it and they know it.

RE: Kudos to Napa

A well written kudos to the NAPA guy. These are the people in the world that make a difference. It is right to let them know about it.

RE: All guests must check in at the office before entering.

I wish the resort I stayed in for 8 years would have enforced a like policy. It got to be a Sunday drive inside the park for the looksee's.

RE: blue sky rv insurance

When it comes to insurance stick to known companies with records that can be checked for paying and financial strength. Insurance can be a big ponzi scheme!!

RE: Can a finance Co. just void your Contract??

As soon as you are given the final word on this. Without rendering any more money or accepting any changes over what you were given in an original contract. If the answer is negative. Spend $200.00 and have a contract attorney establish your rights. Do not submit to any changes unless they are in your favor.

RE: Excessive mail

This isn't available to everyone, but Family Motor Coach club sorts the mail and only sends what you tell them to. Nothing that is not first class mail.
