RE: Converter/ Generator Question

No problem, when the convertor senses AC power, is disconnects the battery input from the vehicle. It's like a home generator transfer switch.

RE: Generator to run A/C

I have used the 2400 Yamaha since 2007, including dry camping in hot whether. It can run a 13.5 AC unit all day and all night, not problems. The only thing we can run with the AC is the microwave, but, when we need to nuke something, I just cut the AC of for the few minutes needed to cook.
Couldn't be happier with it.

RE: What do you guys use to keep your battery charged?

Charge it fully and remove the negative cable from the battery. This removes all loads and the battery will keep its charge. Leave it installed, won't hurt to be outside.
This, and I put in a battery disconnect switch.

RE: Stabilzer jack lube

Bicycle chain dry lube is the best option. Go to a quality bike store and spend a few bucks, the stuff is great for jack-screws.

Yep, I run a little Uniden 510 and a Firestix. It's very handy when I run into traffic to get the latest info and possible drive-around instructions.

RE: Satellite Cable Antenna wiring diagram

Assuming it is the typical Sensar set-up, here is a link to the PDF manual.

RE: Satellite Cable Antenna wiring diagram

That stuff comes packaged from Winegard, and Winegard has the installation manuals on-line. Pretty straightforward stuff. Usually, all the connections are on the back of the wall plate. There is a pre-amp up in the antenna. If you are use cable or sat inputs, turn off the antenna pre-amp, because that switches the input selection.

RE: Ideal Transmission Temperature

Under 220 degrees is comfortable all day long. When you see 230, it's time to pay attention.

RE: Yam EF2000is running an AC?

On the EF2400, I have had this genny since 2007 and have run the 13.5 kBTU Dometic with it A LOT. It runs great, and we never give it a second thought. The only rule is: Shut off the AC to run the microwave or toaster. We dry camped out a Texas Motor Speedway recently, and ran the EF2400 and the air condition 24 a day with no issues. I love that little genny, it goes on every trip.

RE: Yam EF2000is running an AC?

No.
The EF2400 will fun one because of the it's special start surge circuitry. The EF2000 simple will not do it.

RE: Towing a Bullet 281 with a 2004 Toyota Sequoia

I towed with a Chevy Tahoe for a few years. We had a 23' Rockwood, and it felt a bit large back there. I was highly relieved when we traded the Tahoe for a SuperCrew F150. IMHO, the 28 foot bullet will be too much of a stress multiplier. Especially if you take trips that are several hundred miles or more.

Headed out Tomorrow AM

Trailer is out front, hooked to the truck, loaded with food/water/clothing and beverages. My 18 yo, 14 yo and I are going about 400 miles up to SW Missouri to stay on the river for 3 days and see some of the family coming down form WI and IL.
Good times.,...

RE: My RVW Nightmare...... Need Advise

Curious who was pushing for such a quick manufacturer to customer turn-around?
I bet it wasn't RVW.
Usually, they have you trailer a few days, inspect it, prep it and send you multiple photos they have taken of it on their lot, after it has been prepped, and before you depart.
