RE: bought: 2005 WW FS2300 SuperLight

I'll hit the scales in town at some point to get the real story, thanks. You'd think that if the dealers fudged the dry weight and then someone got into an accident as a result they'd sue and that'd put a stop to the practice, but I guess that hasn't happened yet. Fortunately with the 250 diesel I've got margin.
And yes they upgraded the propane tanks, which is nice because I'm used to having two tanks. A power jack is something I'd like to have in the future but for now I'll deal as I did with the TT.
I'll check the tongue when I go to pick it up. I don't have it yet, when I went out there to look at it I took my car, did not know if I was going to buy it at that point.

bought: 2005 WW FS2300 SuperLight

Thanks to everyone who posted in the thread about the Ragan towability. Just before I went to go look at that one I called the guy to confirm the appointment and he had just sold it from under me. d'oh! But I then found a 23ft Weekend Warrior SuperLight, went down to look at it today and sealed the deal. Has a 5KW Onan that was just rebuilt, and the fueling station, washing station, etc.
Most people don't want something this small, but what I am putting in it is not big or heavy compared to quads and such, it's just right for me. I build and operate miniature steam engines. I think that this is the smallest front sleeper there is.
The trailer has a dry weight of 4878lbs, and appears to have a max GVWR of 7650, well within the range for the F250 diesel and similar to my old trailer. I don't think I need a tranny cooler for that. Tell me what you think. I've been up and down mountains with the old trailer with no problems.

RE: National Ragen 2629N - can haul with 250 diesel?

Thanks guys for the feedback and advice. I'll look into the gauge and cooler. I also want a set of pillar gauges with the pyrometer, etc. Did not really need it before but now it might be a good thing. I climb some serious grades on almost every trip.
I assume the dash tranny gauge is an on-off light that doesn't really tell you much. It's never come on so...

National Ragen 2629N - can haul with 250 diesel?

Looking at a 2004 model. This is 26' box, 29' total.
I have a 2000 Ford F250 turbodiesel 7.3L reprogrammed - zoom zoom. It pulled my 22ft TT and 550lb load in the bed while hardly feeling it and no stability problems whatsoever, even in extreme winds, using a stabilizer hitch which the Ragen I am looking at also has. (side bars with the chains)
But this is longer and heavier and thought I should check. Don't have info on max gross or dry weight on this trailer yet, will find it when I go see it on Saturday. Anyone have this trailer in similar model years and can give me a snapshot of the specs sheet?
Basically the load that is in my truck bed will now go in the toy hauler, so that's at least a bonus.
I sold the TT in my sig below a few weeks ago to upgrade to the Toy Hauler.
