RE: The Best Toyhauler Manufacturer IMHO

Glad to hear that Eclipse is still making a nice trailer. I have a few posts stating the quality of my 2004 23AK. I bought it from the original owner after he had it for 3years without and major issues. I have had it ever since with no major issues as well. We really enjoy taking it out and getting off the beaten path with it. Am sure you will enjoy yours for years to come as well.

RE: Place near Devils Postpile

Thanks for all the info...I didnt go as scheduled but it is still on my list to do very soon. I know that in the winter the road closes to POstpile and you have to hike/shoe/ski in and that is what my plan was as long as I could get close enough depending on road conditions. I'll keep everyone updated. Thanks again.

RE: Insulating the underbelly question

Thanks for everyones suggestions. I will look into the extruded polystrene. @ Dirtclods, at first it will be in the Sierras(national forests) but I have tent camped above 8000' in the winter (20 degrees and less) but now I'd like to take the trailer.

RE: awning replacement

Yeah for that price a full replacement would be better. Have any of you replaced the fabric yourself? Is it very hard? I assume it's a minimum 2 person job.

RE: Insulating the underbelly question

Thanks, I definitely do not want something breaking apart while driving down the road. We will be boondocking so I cant provide heat all day long. I am hoping that the insulation will be enough to keep it from freezing. Thats a good idea to put metal over the foam sheeting. I'm open to any ideas. Thanks everyone.

Place near Devils Postpile

Does anyone know of a place to BD near Devils postpile? I am thinking of heading there this weekend and do some snowshoeing. Thanks everyone.

Insulating the underbelly question

I have an attitude 23' and it doesnt have an insulated underbelly. I was thinking of adding some 3/4" thick dense sheet foam thats wrapped in foil underneath. I would use screws at 3" to 4" on center to attach it to the frame. I was hoping that this would insulate the tanks and pipes enough so that they wouldn't freeze when winter camp. What do you guys think?

RE: Eclipse RV

I have a 2004 23 footer that I bought in early 06, I am the 2nd owner and havent had any big problems, well other than a lady crashing in to the front of it. I think Eclipse is a good company and make a great product.

RE: awning replacement

I have this same problem. I can't afford to replace it right now so I was thinking that I could cut off the bad part at the top and re-attach it. Not sure if its possible but its worth a try. I can't see replacing it as 99% of the awning is still in good shape.

RE: Any Comments On Quality of Attitude Toyhaulers

I have a 2004 23' Attitude that I bought from the original owner back in 2007. With that said, it has been great and the quality is great also. No problems with it at all and we use it a lot throughout the year. You will not regret it if you buy an Attitude trailer.
