RE: surge protector

Although I've recently "retired" from the RV lifestyle due to health concerns, I was NEVER without a Surge Protector when hooked up. They can be pricey, yes, but they sure are cheap insurance in my book!. My $.02 only. Enjoy the journey........:B

RE: What tire pressure monitor to buy?

I have not been very happy with my pressure pro system. Too many failures and spotty realiablity. If I had to do it over I would go with a different system. Sorry you're having problems. My Pressure Pro system performed flawlessly for all the years I used it before health reasons forced me to sell my rig. One time I had a bearing heating the hub/rim up, (causing over-inflation due to excessive heat), and the Pressure Pro warned me in plenty of time The "factory" help was second to none as well if I ever had any questions. My $.02 only. Enjoy the journey......:B

RE: Does This Trailer Exist?

If price is no object...take a look at the 'NEW HORIZONS' "Majestic" line of 5ers. Lots of photos with fireplaces, etc. and they do build to suit. Enjoy the journey.....:B

RE: HAPPY TRAILS TO ALL

Bless all of you for your so very kind words. May I share a quote from Mr.Thoreau that I modified slightly and kept framed on the wall of my trailer at all times: "I Went to the Woods and I Took to the Road because I wished to live deliberately....To front only the essential facts of life and see if I could not learn what it had to teach. And not...when I come to die...realize that I had not lived....". The very best to all you fellow Rvers out there and I wish you safe travels, smooth highways, and carefree camping. Enjoy the journey........:B Hutch

RE: 5th Wheel Hitch ?

Hello, I did a search here for some info but the search function on this forum is kinda tuff to deal with compared to others I’m used to. Anyway, I currently have a Reese 16K in my F350 long bed and will soon need an 18K for the new 5th Wheel toy hauler we are looking at getting. Can I just buy the top portion of a Reese 18K and pin in down to my existing bed rails? Also, what is the best Reese 18K hitch out there? Thx for your time!! Greetings "Smitty".....Have sent you a private message. Hutch Enjoy the journey.......:B

HAPPY TRAILS TO ALL

On-Going health concerns have forced me to sell my 5er. I was very fortunate in that a couple I know from the time I purchased it were the ones who bought my trailer as a second unit. They are dedicated full-timers who will take very good care of the 'ol girl who brought me nothing but joy for the time I was able to tow her around the countryside. Wishing you all safe and happy travels. It's certainly been memorable. Hutch Enjoy the journey........:B

RE: Trade in Motorhome for 5th wheel?

Am in the process of "prepping" my '07 NEW HORIZONS 'MOTOMOVER' to sell, and will be moving to a MH in the near future. Just the opposite of what you folks are thinking of doing. The 5er. has served me wonderfully....I just want to experience the MH lifestyle for a change. My age?...66yrs. young. Enjoy the journey.........:B
