RE: Electric Water Heater

Some also had a breaker switch on back of the unit. Look there as well

RE: Demand or pressure water system?

Did you buy it new? If not the previous owner may have added an accumulator tank. Also I really don't think JAYCO was using a smart charger in 2003 but we had a 2001 DESIGNER, which was plugged in all the time, and never boiled the battery, just check it regularly and fill as necessary. The best way to verify the converter type is get the model number and do an on-line search.

RE: GPS warning

Microsoft Streets and Trips and a "Netbook" with a GPS antenna on the dash for me. I can set up the route completely and review it before I load it onto the "Netbook". I have caught numerous bad routes that way.

RE: Elkart area camping

Elkhart Campground is a great place, very friendly owners. If you want to be right in the Center of Amish Country go to Shipshewana North or South. We prefer North

RE: Propane lines destroyed

That happened to me before too. I had my plumber friend replace all lines with ridgid galvanized to keep it more safe. I didn't like the idea of having flex line that close to the wheels.
Hope you meant "black iron". Galvanized is a no no for natural or LP gas.

RE: Brown fuse wire in driver's side kick panel

All you have to do to check the Aux Start is turn on the key and push the button, you should here a relay click. I have the same wire in our 35GS that is not connected either.
If you go to JAYCO's web site and the contact page with your units serial number (not vin #) they can tell you also.

RE: RV parks in Findlay Ohio

Thanks GrumpandGrandma, that all I could find online. Do you know anything about the state park?
Unfortunately, never stayed in there, but most Ohio parks are elec only and it is a small park.

RE: RV parks in Findlay Ohio

The closest will be Van Buren. There is a KOA and a state park.

We stayed there about a year ago. Typical KOA, we would stay there again. Easy drive into Savannah.

RE: No Power To Outlet

As Red said they won't work on gen or inverter while driving unless you cut the single purple wire going into the back the outlet box. Jayco or your dealer cannot tell you that but I can. It is the safety feature so the driver doesn't watch TV.
I cut mine and put spade connectors on the wire so I can hook it back up if needed.
If that's not the case you probably have a faulty outlet.

RE: Can you leave a solenoid on?

Got to add my 3 cents (inflation).
I have never turned the solenoid off in the last 11 years. 01-08 on our 01 Desinger and now on our 08 Seneca and they stayed plugged in 24/7.
There are actually 2 issues here. #1 What type of converter/charger they installed. If it is the smart type it will not boil or cook the batteries. #2 if they added the same gadget (for lack of a better word) like Jayco did on the Seneca it will also charge the coach as needed.

We also only did States/Provinces we've camped in. That's one advantage of attending Club rallies/Caravans you end up almost everywhere.

RE: Coach-Net ????????????

AAA hasn't let us down since. We currently have AAA South coverage and have had our tows of up to 100 miles covered up and down the East Coast. We've used it in GA, NC, VA, NJ & PA. Only one time did we need it to cover the RV since we added the RV option, but it's the cheapest insurance we have.
-Michael
Just proves it depends on where you live or where you are. AAA could not provide anyone to change a tire on an E-450 "C" in Indianapolis. Ended up having to do it myself.
