Cheap suspension fix

I know many of you with the Ford F-53 V-10 have commented on moving the sway bar links to the tighter holes. As many of you know from my prior posts I have installed the Kelderman air ride on my 2012 Winnebago Vista 30T. I love the Kelderman. Today I picked up the coach from having an alignment and I had them make the bolt change on the sway bars. I am amazed at how much tighter the handling is. It removed all the wander. I have road master steering stabilizer, rear tiger trac bar and Kelderman air bags and this simple movement of the bolts has really made a difference. My handling and ride are as close to perfect as possible. For those of you with Kelderman they also got the steering wheel pretty close to straight by working with tie rods. It didn't really bother me that much but they offered and I said great and it is nice to have it more normal although my wife liked it angled as it fit her hand better. Thanks Holstein and all who suggested the cheap fix. I had no idea it was going to have this much impact.

Same as Vista 30A. I had an A and now the 30T. Nice motorhome. No significant problems.

RE: Why do I feel like appoligizing....??

This is a weird thread. Why do people feel the need to answer to others about how they choose to spend their money? Unless of course it impacts others directly. I do say I am sorry if I take up too much parking space or cause a traffic delay as I carefully maneuver. But as far as feeling guilty because I have a nice motorhome, no way. There are many bigger and nicer ones around but I like mine a lot. I guess I have little envy. I do have envy for some of the folks on this forum who have amazing knowledge and mechanical skills. Thanks for your willingness to share it with us and help out the less mechanically inclined.

RE: No water coming through the Hot Water Line

If the bypass is closed and there is no water in the hot water tank and you have turned on electric heater you may have an element problem.

RE: Floor Plan - TV Placement

With the flat screens you can put the TV anywhere. In fact with a remote box you can have a wire less antenna connection so the box is in the compartment and the tv with the remote receiver is anywhere in the motorhome. You can set it on the outer or dining table or bookshelf or dash etc and stow when traveling. The larger you go the less practical this option but anything in the 32 range is ok. You no longer need to rewire to relocate the tv.

RE: What would you do?

I hate these kind of rules. My 2012 is 31 ft. Some of these places have a 32 ft rule. They ask how long it is and I tell them 31 but if I rub it I can get it to 32. Now why would it matter if it is 30 or 35. I only go to these places to visit friends otherwise I prefer a bit less crust.

RE: Campground Oops

Oh you have started something as we all have long lists of our idiot moments. It usually starts with not unplugging the electrical cord and moving on to antennas in up position. From there we get to the scratches and dings. The idiot club has a big membership. Welcome.

RE: info needed for winnebago vista owners

I had my fixed and it was very quick and easy, Less than 2 hours. We did have to wait for the parts for a couple of weeks but I made the appointment the day I got the notice.

RE: Best flat screen TV for motorhomes

As you can tell they are durable even with Dale jumping on his. I agree that LED is preferred because it is lighter, thinner, slightly better picture, takes less energy and gives off virtually no heat.

RE: Bedroom slideout stuck or something

Check fuses in your battery compartment. There are some large ones and I had one go out on a bt cruiser that operated my slide. With your main slide working it may not be the issue.

How do I get my directv on my iPad? It will make my sling box obsolete. I too am a big fan of directv.

RE: My moho is a life saver

Yup, it is a life boat some times. When summer storms took out electricity with trees falling on power lines and 90 plus degrees of humid weather at the cottage it was easy to start the generator and turn on the air and in addition run an extension cord out the window for the refrigerator and stay comfortable and save the food. I had TV and internet and was fine. Neighbors stopped by to check on me and seemed to stay longer than usual. Ha.

RE: My quest for a better ride

I'm so happy it is a success for you. Thought it would be. Play with the inflation to find your sweet spot. I am still experimenting. Have never driven with the rear below about 58 so maybe I will try 50. Keep us posted on your experience.

RE: Looking at a Itasca Sunstar 26p

It won't be overweight. I have the Winnebago 30T with 3 slides. It is a perfect size for us with lot's of room and plenty of storage. Only about 4 feet more in length and might be worth your consideration. I always regretted not considering the 26 foot class A when I purchased 27 ft BT Cruiser. I think the smaller class A is great. A huge difference in size between the 26P and the Reyo/Via. The slides make a big difference.

RE: Two Techy Mods.....

I love that you are finding use for old iPhones. I use them as well for small computers which I can dedicate to certain tasks when working on regular laptop. They are fine for wifi. I have been using my sling box for a long time, in fact, I need to upgrade to newer model. If you have good wifi it is great anywhere in the world. I have used it with my miff and before that air stick on computer and just one admonishment, If you stream for about 26 hrs you will hit the 5gig limit of most portable wifi units. If you have good 3g or 4g the sling should work on your iPhone.
