RE: Which generator

Grizz, If you like Yamaha, then buy 2 of the 2000 watt units and link them up to run the A/C. When you don't need 2 units you can just bring 1 along. I have 2 Honda 2000's, the dealer is a personal friend, and I use 1 of the units around the property for running electrical, saw, trimmer etc. As I get older the 45+ lb. Honda/Yamaha is a lot easier to handle by myself. The Yamaha has a smaller motor but the rated life of the engine is a bit longer than the Honda.

RE: long term storage of diesel

I ran into a guy that services diesel standby generators and he has developed a system where he "polishes" the diesel fuel. By running it thru a series of filters and moisture removers and he claims that the fuel is actually better than the day it was put into the vehicle. I would condition the fuel and change the fuel filters after you run the old fuel out.

RE: TT Storage area

I have an Arctic Fox 25R and it has lots of outside storage.

RE: RAND MCNALLY RVND 7710

Nathan, I believe the lifetime maps are around $80.00, I had the new Magellan 9165T and sent it back because the Good Sam campground that I stay at had the wrong address and told me to drive 19 miles east of the actual location. Couldn't trust the unit. Get the RVND 7710.

RE: Generator

Get a Honda or Yamaha because they are quiter, more economical, parts if necessary are avaliable any where, and best of all their not made in China.

RE: RAND MCNALLY RVND 7710

Bought my 7710 from Camping World with lifetime maps. Used it today to go to various customers in 3 different counties and it worked perfectly. Can't wait to use it RVing this coming summer, 2012.

RE: Quality TT?

Look for a used 25' Nash or Arctic Fox, very well made.

RE: What companies make the better TTs???

We really like our Arctic Fox 25R. Great frame, twin 5200 lb. axles, well built side walls, and roof, slide-out, lots of storage.

RE: Raptor frames bending

Note to self don't buy used! :W Jump If you watch the video there is abuse and then there is proper speed and timing on how to take a jump. I believe that the people with bump stops crushed and frames bent did not use proper speed nor timing when they jumped their Raptors. Pay up.

RE: Raptor frames bending

I don't see how anyone can buy a new truck, go out and jump it and not expect to ever damage it. People build purpose vehicles and even these vehicles get damaged doing what they were designed to do. Sometimes you have to pay to play. Warranties are for manufacturers defects on properly maintained vehicles. If I swerve to miss a kid on a bicycle and run off the road and bend an axle, is that warranty?

RE: GMC/Chebby owners

There should be a data tag on the hitch. It would be a pretty good guess that if your hitch is square tube it isn't OEM.

RE: GMC/Chebby owners

That Reese hitch is a good one and you are getting a good price and great service. I chose to go with a Torklift Superhitch it is a monster.

RE: NEW GPS Unit Just for RVers. WOW

Billy, On the RVNMD 5510 that I had I found that when you programed your rigs weight the GPS would take you only where it knew where your rigs weight was legal. I put my rigs combined total weight, truck & TT, in and there was a township boundry weight limit so it routed me around a particular area. Also I found that it was particular about how you programed it about the use of "freeway's". Once I learned it's little nuances I was able to get good results.

RE: NEW GPS Unit Just for RVers. WOW

I bought a RVND 5510 and tried it on a trip to Bar harbor, ME and after fine tuning it on the trip up I really like it. When I got back I noticed that Camping World had a much better price than I paid Amazon, after talking to Amazon about a price adjustment Amazon decided that I could return the unit for a refund. I then saw the deal from Camping World on the RVND 7710 and with tax delivered to my home it was within pennies of what I paid for the RVND 5510. The RVND 7710 will actually fit right under my rear view mirror on my Silverado and is about the same width.

If they are made in China don't buy them!

RE: Order New Ford Under Threat of Strike

Are you going to be happy with a gasser after having 2 diesel powered trucks. That 32' TT is going to be a tough pull with gas. Get a Dodge Cunmmins or a GM diesel.

RE: Nash or Artic Fox 27T

Bill, kellymobilehomesandrv.com has a 2011 Nash 27T listed on their web site. They are located in PA, be careful as their prices are inflated and some of their product has gravel/salt damage from receiving their units in the winter. We purchased our 25R from Neimeyers trailers in Maple Grove, MN, received a good price and great service. I will definitely purchase my next RV from Neimeyers.

RE: quality trailers

I think the Tango looks pretty good. Arctic Fox is a well built trailer and you can definitely full time in one. Contact Neimeyers Trailers in Maple Grove, MN if you want a fair price and great service on an Arctic Fox, that's where we purchased ours.
