I had them installed at my local mechanic shop it cost me $50.00 and I am sure they are well installed he has all the necessary tools and plenty of space to work ,it is worth the money
safety has no price

I bought a Curt front hitch for my bike rack and had it installed in a local mechanic shop, toke not time and fits perfectly on the truck frame no holes no mess

screen canopy
I have been thinking about a screen canopy instead of a side awning
I want someting easy to set up and that does not take too much storage place I have seen at walmart coleman screen canopy and the Ozark screen house I would appreciate your comments and suggestions

If the tail gate ws on I could not reach my plug with the cable from the camper and it would also be a nuisance to empty the tanks.

I had the same problem with my buick and they are not removable and more it is illegal to remove them I finaly manage to lay the back more and readjust the seat position and now I am very comfortable and still have the protection

Ijust bought a 2004 NL last august and it is like new only one trip to florida it is a charm compare to pulling a 35ft 5th wheel,
if you look for used NL they are very rare and for methis is a dream come trough, when we bought the 5th wheel in 2004 I would have bought the TC instead but we were spending a few months in florida a nd the 5th offered the space needed for long time camping but a TC is a real travelling camping unit.
do not esitate too long it will be gone

RE: City rules about overnighting...not happy
While travelling we some time use Walmart ,truck stops,even rest area but when possible to have a camping with passeport america at 50% discount with all the servises we use them, from my enquiries when walmart does not allow parking overnight it is that the parking does not belong to them most of the time a municipality will furnish the parking space to have them.

I presume we TC'rs are not big customers for them so they forget us I read more important stuf out of TC section than in other campers type TC is the only one with a UNIVERSITY which is full of informations TC'rs are real campers and the others are cottages on wheels.

and it is illegal to use a cell phone for talking or texing
and I just read that it has been proposed to do the same in the States.

short or long box
I have always had long box pickup, my brother is considering buying a truck camper and a pickup and of course I suggest that he get's a long box but after refection I come to thing that I may not be in a good position because I don't know about short boxes if he was to buy a 5th wheel I would know why a long box but for a TC I would appreciate your comments
