RE: Awning for Slide out??
I've got four slides on my 5'er and all four of them have slide toppers on them. It keeps the sun off the thin roof of the slide, making it cooler, as well as keeping debris off. I leave my slides extended the entire summer on a seasonal site in northern Michigan and have never had a bird nest or critter problem under them. If you contact your dealer, or any reputable dealer, they should be able to install them for you.
