RE: f53 fuel pump

There is a wiring kit you need to buy that allows you to put your late model pump in place of the original factory one and hook every thing up so it will work. Available at your local Ford dealership.

RE: Tire Question

We had a 2002 Allegro with Goodyear G670s on it. At6 years tires looked great, lots of tread, no cracks ETC. Always kept in a shelter out of the sun. 3 blowouts in a 1 month time frame. Took out my leveling control system, 1400 to replace, Took out my sewer compartment floor and some of the pipes, 1000 to fix.
Its your call!!

RE: Beware in keys

"Excuse me? So if I don't get a bill from the electric company I don't owe them anything. How about the mortgage company? Insurance? Credit cards? No bill no pay, is this the new way transactions for services rendered is working today?
You were fully at fault. You entered into an agreement to pay an amount to store your coach and you failed to honor that agreement. From where I sit you owe the towing company, back storage fees, for the time the manager has had to deal with this problem and whatever the towing company wants to add in to store the coach on their lot.
What did you expect, for the lot or park owner to hold your coach forever until the day came that you remembered to pay your bill? Your coach was taking up space that the manager could have rented to someone who pays thier bill. Would it be the City's fault for towing my car because I didn't feed a parking meter enough money for the time I was parked."
Correct!!!

RE: Towing heavy toys with a 37' Pace Arrow

You can have a good welding shop reinforce the rear of the coach to support the extra weight. Many coaches have extensions to the factory frame in the rear that are not as strong as the factory frame. I have done this to my last 3 coaches because I tow a 6500 lb trailer to the Desert.

Thats what it is. Many of the mororhomes in that era run that size . My 1994 Pace arrow is the same.

RE: packing / securing stuff in the basement

Like Scott I like my stuff to be somewhat organized. I use milk crates to keep the smaller items in order and they stack well making good use of space. Cords and cable lines are stacked in neat piles.

RE: tires again

They are constructed differently. Normal tires need to be used to allow the lubrication molicules to seep out and keep the sidewalls from cracking. RV or Motorhome tires IE: Goodyear G670 are made differently and are supposedly resistant to cracking if allowed to sit for long periods.

RE: Reality Check - Tire Inflation

I have always used this to help me adjust the pressures. I find a big flat concrete slab. For me it is my drive way, and drive over it slowly. I then get out and look at the dust pattern on my tires. If the dust pattern is away from the edge, meaning it shows on the middle part of the tire but not out to the edge, I let a few pounds out and do it again until the dust pattern is at the edge of the tread. If the pattern is over the edge of the tire I will add a few pounds until it is at the edge. To me this insures that the tire is holding the weight of the coach on the full width of the tire.

RE: Columbia River Area The Dalles

Dennis when you get to Tillamook be very carefull as the main street, Hyw 101, thru town is very narrow when cars are parked on the side of the street. If you wish to camp while you are there, If you are an Elk, There is a real nice camp ground just south of town. If you want to camp in the state parks you needed to make reservations last November. Enjoy the ride.

RE: antennas and signal

I think this statement is wrong but hey that is just my opinion
"there is no such thing as a digital TV antenna. the antenna is designed to detect a range of frequencies only. digital, analog, standard def, high def...it's all the same to the antenna. "

RE: antennas and signal

Most TV stations went to Digital last year or the year before. Do you have a digital TV antenna?? I put a Jack antenna on my Wineguard to pick up any and all stations out there that are being broadcast.
