Virginia to Montreal PQ
Greetings everyone,
This summer we booked ourselves two weeks at Virginia beach. On our way back we are going to make a detour by Luray VA to see the caverns. From there we are still over 600 miles from home with a day or two to kill. I can take I-81 or I-87 via I-78 and I-84. Do you know of a camping that we really shouldn't miss roughly half way between Luray and Montreal?

Your best chance NOT to get one of these sites is to know the camp ground layout, to get there before the weekend starts, and NOT to camp over the 3 popular summer holidays. If you can do that, you will have a good site.

We'll be arriving on the first Tuesday of August. Is there a civic holiday in August in VA?

First Landing State Park, Virginia
Greetings everyone,
After reading the posts on this camping we decided to go there for our vacations this summer. Everyone seems to enjoy the place but I was wondering if the quiet hours (10 pm to 8 am) were really quiet. Since the park allows alcohol and has fire pits (which doesn't seem to be the standard in state campgrounds) I was wondering if it attracks a younger and louder crowd.
