RE: Just Ordered a 2013 Cedar Creek 34rlsa

Smart move opting for the thermopane windows. More comfort in the colder weather.
Better resale value when it's time to trade or sell plus, you open youself up to Canadian buyers.

RE: Use cedar creek as year round temp housing

We winter camped in the White Mountains of New Hampshire for three full seasons in a 2007 Cedar Creek 362BTS (bunkhouse) with no problems. Ours had thermopane windows and everything stayed warm and comfortable.

RE: Camper Village Cedar Point Sandusky Ohio

We always stay at Lighthouse Point when visiting Cedar Point. It's the best choice for us as our kids can come and go as they like, we eat out of our camper, and we go back into the park as often as we like.

RE: Castaways vs. Frontiertown

Agree with other posts, Castaways without kids, Frontiertown with kids. If you are not sure and don't mind setting up, why not split the week between both?

RE: Fredricksburg Va. /Virginia Beach

Last summer we did a week in Williamsburg then a week in Ocean City, MD. In Williamsburg we bought the 7 day flex pass for unlimited admission to Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and Water Country USA.
Plenty to do and see in Ocean City, Maryland as well.

RE: Campgrounds with waterpark - within 6 hours of Philadelphia

Frontiertown in Ocean City, MD is an excellent choice, with plenty to do in the immediate area. Going there for the 7th time this summer.

RE: Cedar Creek 36RE or Pinnacle 36REQS

Overall, most educated rv buyers will consider Cedar Creek higher on the ladder than Jayco. We owned a Jayco, sold it for a Cedar Creek which was by far the superior product.
Cedar Creek products have great resale value and excellent factory support before and after the sale. Cedar Creek is an excellent value and I think you will have no regrets buying one.

RE: Morgan RV Resorts

We never stay at Morgan Resorts. We always try to support the "Mom and Pop" rv parks whenever possible.
At a "Mom and Pop" park, you get the owner in the store treatment, personalized service, and someone who truly cares about your camping experience. You are also supporting a family owned local business with ties to the community.
At a corporate owned campground, management sole interests are pleasing the stockholders.

RE: Junk under rubber roof membrane Update

We had a 2003 Jayco 325BHS with lots of small debris including what appeared to be a 6 penny nail laying on it's side beneath the rubber membrane. Dealer called Jayco and they offered nothing. We were given a tube of Dicor roof sealant which I puddled oover the nail before it wore thru.
Although we loved the floorplan, and bought because of the Jayco reputation, were were not happy with the unit and would not buy another Jayco product. I believe our Jayco was one of their infamous 3rd shift units back when the economy was good and manufacturers were in the "hurry up" mode.

RE: Cardinal vs Blue Ridge vs Cedar Creek

I had a 2007 Cedar Creek 362bts and loved it. Factory support was excellent as the build quality.
I presently own a 2011 Cardinal 3804 bunkhouse and love it as well. Again, great factory support and build quality.
Both units differ in construction, materials, and optional equipment available. I would have stayed with Cedar Creek but at the time, they did not offer a bunkhouse model to our liking.
Have not heard a lot of great things about the Blue Ridge models.

RE: Kings Island Amusement Park camping?

We stayed at Winton Woods which is about 20 minuts from Kings Island, it is a well run, clean rv park operated by Hamilton County. Concrete pull thru's and concrete back in's with full hookups including 50 amp. We would definately return.
On a side note, we were disappointed with Kings Island. Last summer we visited Kings Island, Cedar Point, and Kings Dominion. Kings Island was our least favorite. None compare well to Cedar Point.

RE: Northeast campgrounds open during the winter?

We winter camp at Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, NH., The campground is a five minute walk to the base lodge. Excellent family ski area with great grooming, huge terrain park, night skiing, x crountry, large tubing park, and lots of weekend events for the family.
Danforth Bay in Freedom, NH is about 10 minutes to King Pine Ski area (very small, but great grooming and very very family orientated) and about 35 minutes to Attitash Ski Area.

RE: Lake George Camping

With four kida, I would stay at the Lake George RV Park. Been there several times, pricey, but worth every penny. Ask for the lower loop area as it is flat and better for kids riding bikes, plus thats where the heated indoor pool and French Mountain Playhouse are located.
