RE: Gray/Black Valves open or closed when hooked to sewer?

Some people keep the grey tank open.
DON'T DO IT.
Grey water contains sediments like food scraps. That plus soap and hair from the shower can build up.

RE: Bring on all the Tips, Secrets, Advice!!

Learn to use the "search" feature on this forum, eventually you will find an answer to all your questions.
That's what I did for a year before buying.
I was an expert in everything before I ever hitched up for our first outing. :B
Most of all, jump in.

RE: What do you use to clean your lcd tv's, monitors, etc

Got mine at Walmart.
It's called Phillip's Screen Cleaning Gel for plasma and LCD.
A spray bottle with a small soft cloth.
Works great.

RE: Fuel station asking for Zip codes and we are Canadian

A couple of Winters back I realized I needed that walk back and forth to the service station every 4 hrs. I got to know almost exactly how much gas I needed and payed in cash, in-out quick.

RE: Nook Tablet vs Kindle Fire

Thanks magicbus,Not sure why i said movies myself,I could care less to watch movies on a 7" screen.Heck i don't even know for sure i need a e reader,LOL
We were caught in a three hour wait because of an accident. No detour and no way to go back so we waited. Wife had her iPad with a couple of movies on it. PERFECT. It's not big but when it's the only show in town it's great.
If your flight is delayed an hour or two, a movie makes the time go by.

Best one is Fort William in N.W. Ontario.
Not a Hudson Bay post, it's North West Company.

RE: Nook Tablet vs Kindle Fire

Here is an article comparing the two.
PC WORLD
Basicaly.
Kindle reads .mobi files
nook reads .epub files
Epub is the defacto standard and has more choice.
WiFi is not needed to read books but it does allow downloads from libraries. I find that libraries have more epubs than mobi books.
You don't really need a memory card. In your case four months at one book per day would not come close to filling the reader.

RE: Best WiFi booster

Hawking HAWNU3 os only $19 on Ebay.
The better price on the optional window antenna is on Amazon at $44.98.
I get between four and five bars without the window antenna. This is in a situation where my DW's newer Dell computer struggles at 2 bars without any booster.
So for only $19, I would would start with just the basic unit and see what happens.
Good advice, that's how I started.
The next step, if needed, is to put the adapter at the end of a 6' cable and put it out the window, go for height to clear the RV next door.

RE: Seeing Arizona

If you want a walk in the desert, minus the walk, Tucson has a guided open tram tour of Sabino Canyon. Well worth the time and the scenery is beautiful.
Really??
How sad when you can't get out and see nature's most beautiful desert up close and personal. How much closer can you be than riding in a glorified golf cart?

RE: Size and brand of sewage tote?

Or the correct number of 8.3 pounds per gallon..... :E
Don't forget 1 gal of water = 13 lb. How much can you lift?
Most big totes are rigged to be slowly towed behind a vehicle.
Actually a Canadian Gallon weights 10lb.

Actually, there are many hiking trails in the canyon. The tram tours make it possible for people to see the canyon who otherwise wouldn't physically be able to. Many people will take the tour to the turn around point, then take one of the hiking trails back.
Maybe I over reacted.
I'm thinking back to my visit to the Grand Canyon. I walked ten miles of the Rim Trail, enjoying every step. When I got back to the main parking lot I saw a bus load of tourists get off take pictures, check their cell phones then hop back on and drove off. Won't say who but they had lots of cameras.

RE: NEW COMPUTER

Best way would be to get a portable case for your old hard drive. Take the hard drive out of the old PC put it in the case then plug the case to into the new PC using the USB cable. The old HD will show up as a temporary device then you simply transfer data files, pics etc to the new PC.
All software has to be re-installed.
