RE: Wired Backup Camera Installation w/pics

It seems that "Rear View Safety" is Only a Distributor as they state in thier Company information ,Rear View Safety Inc. is the leading distributor of rear view camera systems in the USA and not the manufacturer. I hope that it is as good as you state Fred

RE: Tail Light problem on Toad

Well I finally got a chance to work on the toad wiring problem again and after getting a weak connection and then nothing once again over and over I made up a new cable for between the MH and Toad and success. Still not sure where in the old cable lies the problem but is now in the dumpster. So, Thanks both Dave & Bud for the directions to take. I can now go back to finding other little problems to work on. Thanks Fred

RE: Tail Light problem on Toad

OK lets clarify my knowledge about automotive wiring and electronics, The best description would be that I am not the sharpest "Knife in the drawer". That being said I can follow along as long as it is in very basic language so I know that there is a good ground at the connection on the MH, and the white wire from the four wire connection at the car is connected to a white wire that is part of my aux. brake system. So are we saying that I need to add another ground wire and where? Fred

Tail Light problem on Toad

Ok here is the problem: I just got back from camping in the Rockies and when we where ready to hookup the toad we had no tail lights (tail lights, brake lights or signal lights). Seeing that it was daylight and I had checked the fuses and couldn't find the problem I came home with nothing on the toad although the lights all worked on the MH. First chance after getting on a paved road I stopped and checked & the lights where working. After being home and thinking I better check these lights out, once again the was no lights so it was time to check further. I find that I have power all the way as far as the rear lights but only as far as the four Road master Diodes that are in the system. This is where it get confusing, how can there be power on the in of the diode for both the cars power and the MH power and yet no power from the MH on the out of the diode and yet everything works ok when using the car normally. What am I missing? Any and All suggestions are much appreciated, Fred

RE: new television or converter box

Seeing that you are on the internet why don't you just do some comparison shopping with company's that are on both sides of the border ie: BestBuy, Walmart, Tiger Direct and others and that will help to make a decision for you . I think you will be surprised that on TV's & computers that there isn't that much difference in price and also you have to consider the warranty factor. I spend the winters down south and yes there are many things that are cheaper down south ( RV supplies for one ). That is one of the things that I use the internet for is comparison shopping. Fred

RE: Timelines to watch for you are out of your own country

I not sure about Ontario but here in Alberta we are not limited to six months of being out of our province in regards to health care insurance. If we are going to be longer then six months all we need to do is contact Alberta health care and let them know before we go and we can be out of province up to 2 years. I would contact OHIP and get the facts first hand. The only time you would need to fill in U.S. income tax forms is if you made money down there and if that was the case then there are forms that you can get to send in. both governments work together in regards to income earned. In regards to the amount of days that you can be in the states without a visa is 183 days in a 12 month period. I hope this is of some help, but once again your best answer will come from the different depts. of your Govt.( both federal & Provincial. Fred
