RE: camper fire

Boy do I feel sorry for you folks, try and stay positive and keep your spirits up, remember it is just a trailer and they make new ones every day.

RE: New or used for a newbee

I heard a salesman say once if you could buy your 3rd rv first you would never have to trade again. Until you use a trailer for a while it is hard to figure out just what you and your family would like to have for the type of rving you do. I would suggest buying a used one and go out camping for a while and do some learning and in a year or two you will have a lot better idea of what you want and the quality of unit you would like and can afford.

RE: Changing Never Lube Axles Out????

I have heard that when it is time for brake work and bearings that it is cheaper to get a complete axle. Jim would you care to share with us the cost of a new axle complete with never lube and brakes?

RE: CAREFREE AWNING PROBLEM

My awning was do that same thing I took it to my dealer and is what they did was up on the top of the awning where it is in that slide on the trailer they put a vice grip on the top front of awning and pulled it forward about an inch and then put a little screw in it to keep it from moving and now the awning works great.

RE: Question! 6 - 8lug 16" wheels

These 6 lug wheels do not make any since to me either ford a 36 ft trailer, I would also wounder if the brakes are big enough for that trailer. Might need to look at new axles update the who thing and be safe.

RE: Jacking up 5er

I took two wheels at a time into tire shop to change mine. I put two boards in front of both front wheels and pulled trailer up on them that way I did not have to jack back axle very far. Took back wheels in and got them changed and went home and reversed the operation.

12 Volt Power Source ?

For you folks that are schooled on dc power I have a question for you. I plan on making me a bracket to mount my winegard carryout to my pin box. I have to plug it into 12 volt outlet somewhere. In the 7 pin plug (Plug that you plug into your truck) when uphooked from truck there is a hot wire in there and a ground Is there any reason I couldn't just get me a female 7 pin outlet and put a pigtail on it to a 12 volt outlet for use for my winegard. Thee plug is just hanging there right where I will need it.
