Clorox in Fresh Water Tank
I need to add Clorox to the fresh water tank to clean/shock the system. The Rv has a 70gal tank. How much clorox should I put to the tank?
If I remember correctly I will let the solution sit in the tank over night, drain and refill a couple of times. Thanks for the info.

What type of battery charger
I have a Honda 2000I gen and want to get a battery charger to help in charging batterys when boondocking instead of running power through the fifers' converter. I know I need a three stage charger but not sure of the power needed. Any suggestions on make, type or thoughts about this matter...Thanks

Battery Charger or not
Iam booddocking at this time and I have a question. In this situation I am using a Honda 2000I Gen. After I use or draw down the batterys and then start to charge the batterys with the Gen. the power trip in the rig trips off and then back on again and again. I assume this is a safety for the Rigs Converter.
I was told that I could get/buy a battery charger and run from the Gen. straight to the battrys and bypass the converter. This would charge the battries. Could you advise me as to which type of charger would be the best for this application and any saftey issues with connecting the two batteries. Any suggestions or thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

Bad Land Campgound Oct.11-12
I have a 31ft fifer and will be in the Bad Lands of South Dakota in a couple of days 10/10-11. Can anyone tell me if there is any open CG's in the Park. Do you know the name of CG's. I don't need power,water or dump. Thanks.

Been checking on options on Transmitions and places to get it repaired..Ford has a HD Tranny that costs 3700 has 3 yr unlimited warrenty. The stock tranny on this truck is 3200.
After market has so many versions and prices are out of sight and not all shops can truely handle the job. Most warrenty are 1 or 2 yr and some shops will not accept the warrenty.
Kilispell is 80miles out and Cut Bank is 50 miles and the tow is free to the Ford Dealer at Cut Bank to the Ford Dealer.
Being a fulltimer I'll be all over the country and the warrenty may come into play at some time.
I am still mulling all this over. I will have to come to a conclusion by tomorrow....Still tell me your thoughts or experience ...again thanks

Transmission shot in East Glacier, Montana
Need you guys input. My tranny completly gone except for reverse. This will be the third one. Every 100k. miles. I do not want to go back with what ford put in routinly. I have a F 250, 2001, 7.3, Cost as always is a factor, but I want the right size tranny to pull 13500 rig plus 9klbs of truck. Have not an idea where to have the truck towed or who to do the work. What to you think of after market? Can a Ford dealer put in anything but a Ford tranny or does Ford have a true heavy Duty proven Tran?
If I was in Florida I would go to Suncoast...oh well.
I am in a safe spot with my 5th wheeler and can stay awhile. I want to take the time need to get it right. Thanks.

Skipnchar....How about altitude and snow...I have a 32' fifer. I thought about that route. Just not sure of passes and road. I can boondock at any temp.. Thanks for the input.

Between Yellowstone to Glacier
Have been in West Yellowstone for the last two weeks. I will be leaving here Sunday 5/15 and have some time to kill before arriving in East Glacier on 5/19. That gives me a few days to explore. Anyone have any suggestions as to where to explore and stay as we travel north.
Oh, if anyone wants some snow I know where to get some.....

I worked there for the last three yrs. In mid May you will see the most wildlife, will still see snow and the least amount of tourist. Just bring the warm clothes and footwear. So many people wait till the weather is warm and they miss the true beauty of our country.
Just watch the Government to see if the Nat'l parks are still open.

I am in Lake Mead Nat'l Park. We are picking up and will be ready to move out on Sat. I feel the Gov. will be heading down for a few weeks. That is ok. There are a lot of State CGs in Utah.

Boondocking and Battery Charger
As in Dragnet..1st the facts.. Been boondocked for 3 months. Battery are being charged only up to 13.5 as per the inverter. Using honda 2000 generator and rig conveter intel power 9100 model pd 9160 with Charge Wizard.
Problem is the battery are not being recharged up to spec. considering the time Iam on the Gen. Acording with the manuf. Spec of the rigs convertor it would take over 11hrs to charge battery to 90% even using the Wizard.
Question is could/should I buy a Black and Decker Smart Battery Charger Vec1093dbd. 40/20/10/4, or some type like it, run it inconjuction with the Honda Gen. for a higher and quicker charge?
What are your thoughts or sugestions?
Using the smart battery charger by Black and Decker, given the various settings from 40/20/10 what setting should be used for rapid recharge. Would 40 blow the system? Thanks

Yuma, Oglesby Road, BLM
I will be arriving at Yuma, Az. and have heard of BLM Land used for booning somewhere near Oglesby Road. Does anyone know about this spot and how to get there. I think it is off I-8 but not sure which turn off to take.
Also I need to take on water. Any idea a good place to get H2o? I will be arriving via Hwy 95 south. Thanks for suggestions.
