RE: 2012 Chevrolet Allison Filter Number

bought mine on ebay along with the OEM fuel filters. Paid 1/2 of what the local parts store wanted. Fuel filters are as easy to change as the oil filters

RE: Alaskan Cruise

A big YES to all of this. The lady at AAA told us things we would not have thought of. Found us good fares for the plane. We had three connecting flights to Fairbanks where we stayed the first 3 nights. AAA had the day tours lined up for our picking. Food was a little exspensive in Alsaka but that was expected. On the Coral Princess it also was a great experience. Food was great as was entertainment.

RE: Windex versus Windshield Wash

Is there any difference between the two? Could a person use windshield wash on there windows at home? If you are using it just at home use vinegar and water. Cup of vinegar to a gallon of water for you auto or house windows. Works great of both and it is cheaper,,,,no streeks either!

RE: Alaskan Cruise

We did Princess Cruise Lines aboard Coral Princess last August. Booked through AAA and they did everything!!! Air fare and all. I would suggest that if you are including the land portion through Denalli you do the land first. With the land tours you are on the go for thisand it makes a busy day for you. Following with the cruise is very relaxing!!! We are thinking of it again or the Panama Canal next

RE: arkabutla lake

The South Abutment at the Dam is a good NEW campground. This was closed in the early 90's and just reopened early last year. All concrete level slabs. There are 3 campgrounds on the lake. Dub Patton(smallest) South Abutment and Hernando Point. All can be reserved at recreation.gov Sounds like this one would have newer shower houses also!! Am I correct on this? Been looking at this or Memphis South RV Park Thank for the replys

RE: Sewer hoses and stands.

I use PVC pipe cut in half, in 4' sections. Have 3 sections that I can slide to 12 feet. I use the slinky stand for support. Just lay the pipe in it, and the hose in the pipe. Easypeasy Did exactly the samething. They do not fall of since the fit snug into the split pvc. Also mounted this to store the hose. The square bumper was hard to rinse if need be. Drilled holes on the lower part so it would drain after hose was cleaned. Used this pvc also to store poles from my tonneau cover under outside part of the fifth wheel.

RE: Ground squirrel invasion

They love sunflower seeds. Get one 5 gallon bucket. One 1X4 3 foot long. One cup of sunflower seeds. Fill bucket 1/3 water. Place 1X4 inclined to top ofbucket creating a ramp.. Salt ramp with some sunflower seeds. Get a Mayo jar lid ((4" good)) and place seeds in the lid and float on top of water. Let swimming lesson 101 begin!!

RE: 1500 Suburban

A 1500 subrban I believe is on a 1/2 ton frame. There is a 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton Suburban. This would dictate what you could tow. I would check my tow vehicle specs to see what I can tow comfortly before purchasing anything.

RE: Where's the cigarette lighter

With more electronics being added to the computerized system smoke is not something that needs to be added. The manufactures know this and I am surprised they have not said that if you smoke in the vehicle your warrantee is void. It coats the electronics and boards and shortens there life.....along with yours but that is your choice. Being a ham radio operator if we are buying used equipment that is the first thing we ask!!

RE: confused-which eternabond type for preventative roof sealing

I used the 2 inch on the edges only. Did the entire edge because I t looked like it was going to crack so I did it a preventive maintenance Make sure it is clean as they tell you to clean it. It does not come off if you misjudge....it sticks big time!!!

RE: The Alaska Highway is a One-Way Road Again

Just got back from a CRUISE/RAIL trip to Alaska and want to do it in the RV next year. Fairbanks was great and want to do it at a slower pace. I would move to Ketchakan. Neat place for me. Work up in Ketchaken in the winter with the wind, snow and ice all at once. The rain gauge is in feet on the dock it gets around 11 1/2 feet a year. I live to fish. Got a few more years. Coho/Silvers were jumping around the boat. I have 7 feet of lake effect snow. Do not have to shovel rain. I just thought it was a beautiful place.
