Cool - Add Jill & Bill. We look forward to it!
The 19th bi annual Mid Calif. SAL Rally will be held Oct 12th & 13th 2012 at San Antonio Lake at the Harris Creek Group Campground, down by the lake. Sites will be assigned in the order in which rigs are signed up. All sites have water and 30 amp service hookups. A dump station is close by.
Cost $80.00 for Oct. 12th & 13th. Money will be collected at the end of summer. More information to follow.

I second Terry's appreciation! We had a good time. It is always so great to connect with our SAL friends! Thanks Judy! And Thanks Terry for the Groovy Bags! I enjoyed my sucker tonight as dessert! The Friday hors d'oeuvre meal was great. Really enjoyed the Taco Soup! Have a great week everyone. I will upload the photos tomorrow and share.

Well, looks like we will be hippies with alzheimer's...can't remember where those clothes are... LOL... bell bottoms? moccasins? So sad I didn't save Bill's american flag shirt ... but don't tell him, it wouldn't fit anyways. :) Happy Wednesday in 45 more minutes. I know where I'm off to. Or just off!

Well shucks, I see I should have reported in Saturday - it rained in Pahrump too!! And oh my the thunder and lightening show was awesome! 2 weeks! Yippee, I see a fun time in our very near future now!! Looking forward to seeing all of you in your hippie gear... peace out.

Another week begins...I hope everyone has a great week. Almost ready to start a countdown! We have two birthdays this week, DD and her DD (Rosslyn will be 9!). She is going to be taller than me before June. No comments please that it isn't that hard to do... LOL
Nice rig Larry. Let Lee know where you found it, he is probably in the market for a new rig himself (soon)... Oh dear, cracking myself up. :)

Three weeks is going to fly by!! It turned out to be a nice day here. Then I heard that next week (Mon-Tue-Weds) it is supposed to heat up slightly - 10 degrees higher than today. That would make it 90. Darn. Oh well. Enjoy the sunshine while we have it. Winter will arrive soon enough. I notice the days already getting shorter and shorter. And the weekend is almost here. We are enjoying some TV series DVDs that my sister loaned me (Dexter). What a crazy story (so far). We are only in season one and I noticed at Target there is a Season 5, so I guess there will be plenty to entertain us for a while! Have a fantabulous weekend!

FMCA has a group tire purchase available for members through Michelin. I think the tires we put on our Southwind were Hankook, they served well. The Patriot has Michelins and I hope to be able to afford those when we have to replace them. May need to apply for Lee's job, huh? BTW Lee, Did you keep hopping to get fired? Was that left foot or right? ;)

So good to hear from Newton! and I love the picture. Sounds like a relaxing vacation at the beach. I hope you all enjoy the weekend. We will be heading for the stick house in Pahrump. Next weekend we take the RV for a ride to a nearby beach - Bolsa Chica SB. It is parking lot camping, but fun to people watch and we will host a weinie roast for family and friends. A goodbye summer party since school is back in session for many of them (children and/or teachers). Looking forward to whatever comes our way in this fun adventure of life. Keep smiling and remember to do a random act of kindness for a stranger when the opportunity arises. It's always fun to see their surprise (and how sad is that?)....

Glad to read Lee is taking a break from earning fuel $$ to take Kermit to the beach (and Shelia too!). I am heading to LAX to pick up Rosslyn and Stewart and their parents (daughter Julianna, SIL Andrew), returning tonight from Hawaii.... Our next outing is 9/9 to Bolsa Chica State Beach, then after that will be SAL. Thanks for the countdown Bruce!

WOW! I'm with Linda. I haven't been on the site for a couple days and you folks have been talking and talking... At this point it is moot as Judy said -- WE HAVE A RALLY. Rally on.
As for next time or next year, lots of great ideas floated, JUDY is the Rally planner and can choose whatever she chooses to implement or choose none and continue as she has done for the past 8 (or 9?) years. Seems to be doing a great job every time. GREAT JOB JUDY!! And for future reference, Bill and I would happily pick up $23 if that was the cost to do an 8-rig rally... 'Nuff said.
LEE, figure you will be bringing the brownies since you brought it up. Cracked me up that Budster gave the recipe and as I read it I didn't really understand what some of the description on the "buds" meant but figured maybe it was like cleaning cilantro for salsa and continued reading - know who is bringing their sister MaryJane to throw in? LOL. HEY, my sister Jane just said she's made them before - but it was a long time ago and she doesn't have the right supplies for them. Sorry. You're on your own Lee! LOL

WHOOPS - did any of you notice the FMCA provided information/directions on purchasing Michelin Tires through their advantage program? Course, you need to be a member of FMCA but hopefully the discount will help lots with that ... we are going to be replacing tires so I'm checking it out!

And can I add that in high school some of my friends (geek guys actually) created a club for themselves and called it "the Groovy Club". Some of them played water polo, some didn't, but I think they felt the pressure of not being the "in" crowd of football players.... Aah, memory lane again. LOL Yep, I'm looking forward to this rally. As if living in the MH isn't fun enough? I really am enjoying my days in our Patriot...(please note, we don't refer to it as Beaver) ;)
Ok, back to word games!!
