RE: Frame Bent ... HELP -- Need Advice

For what it is worth we had to have the under carrage completely becausse all of the bushings and hangers were bad, they cut all of the old brackets off and put new on , the cost wasn't that bad, the dealer did it for me and the job was great. The cost of the repair for the whole thing was $1200. Good luck and don't despare it just goes with the territory.

RE: Wax over decals

If you use a wax that does not have a cleaner in it , it is just a wax it will not effect your decals, if you use a wax with a cleaner in it it will hurt your decals and make you very sad. Good luck

RE: What to see and do in Asheville, NC?

Ashville has become an art meca, there are numbers of art galleries of all kind, the last time we were there it took us almost 3 days to see all of the art that is downtown. Do see the waterfalls , and see the towns of Emerald and the Highlands, this is beautiful country and there is so much to see, oh there is a small town south of Ashvill that has a train ride through the mountains and you can have supper on it and while you are in this town they have a renound porcelan artist that has his studio there, sorry I can't remember the town but if you will look for the train ride you will know that this is the town. We stayed in a campground called Moonshine Creek Campground and it is a beautiful place to visit. Good luck on your trip

RE: Throwing out the Norcold referigerator

Ha s anyone ever heard of RV Cooling Warehouse llc.com , they will sell you a cooling unit and tell you how to install it and guarantee it for 5 years, they say it only takes about 2 hours to install the new cooling unit. Have not tried this yet but if my unit goes out I will . The cost for most of the cooling units range from $400. to $500 dollars . Go to there web site and check them out.

RE: Second AC in 5th Wheel - Thermostat Question

If I may ,, make sure that the manufacturer does not place the thermostat where the second air will blow on it , if so then the 2 units will not work together but fight each other , We installed a second unit in our 5er but when we turn on the front air it blows on the thermostat and cuts our downstairs unit off . Good Luck

RE: Heading South?

I would think that when you get to Tennessee you should be able to start finding parks private and state that will be open , Louisiana,Mississippi,Alabama and Florida all have nice parks and on your way down North and South Carolina Missouri Arkansas, they all have nice parks and are open all most year round. Have a good trip and enjoy yourself's .

RE: Kingpin Box has Broken weld

I also had a problem with the frame on my 5er, the pin box area had all but 2 welds to break and the suspension also had to be completely replaced and it was due to frame problems. Also the manufacturer would not do any thing about it . It is not the truck! Good luck on getting it fixed.

RE: Kingpin Box has Broken weld

So sorry to hear that you have had this problem , but we had the same problem with our Keystone 5er. After we had that problem fixed the whole under carrage had to be replaced, they said that it was frame related also , have them check the under carrage while they have it in for repairs. The manufacturer of the frame would not do any thing about our trailer so we were stuck with the bill,$5000.was what it cost us , hope you come out better. Good Luck and God Bless.

RE: Testing for Worn Bushing / Bolts

Our RV is 6 years old and on the way home we lost a front shackle and had to replace it with one we got from a local supplier, the repair man told me to take it and have it checked, so I did, it was worn out so bad that the entire suspension had to be replaced, sort of expensive, we called ourselves checking the shackles and bushings but aparently didn't know what to look for My advise is take to the dealer or a qualified RV teck and have them look at it , its a lot better inspection than most of us can do .
