RE: Heat Pump Vibration

For some reason the reversing valve vibrates more when heating. If it is really bad and under warranty you may be able to get it exchanged.
I was at the dealer this am and their mechanic term the vibration severe. It will rattle the dishes in the cabinet. I found a small motor home with the same unit in it and it did not have near the vibration. Dealer called Dometic and they said the excessive vibration was normal when it is over 60 degrees outside. I guess the battle has started with Dometic.

RE: Heat Pump Vibration

On heat mode, the compressor is pumping directly to the inside coils which makes it louder. On cool mode, the compressor pumps to the outside coils, and the inside coils feed through a capillary expansion tube.
Would this cause the vibration of the cabinets and the plates inside?

Heat Pump Vibration

On our past trip we needed to run the heat pump in the cool mornings. Every time we turned the a/c to the heat pump setting the unit would start to vibrate. Does put out warm air. It does not do it when using the cooling setting. Dealer checked out the nuts and bolts and ever thing was tight. Has anyone had this problem or have any suggestions.

RE: Primary Liability Insurance - Which States Require It?

My insurance company states what ever I pull attached to my vehicles is automatically covered under my vehicle insurance. I believe that's common practice with most policies and with 'reputable, established' auto insurance companies.
100 per cent correct. If you buy liability insurance on a trailer it only comes into play when the trailer is not attached to the TV.

RE: Nev-R-Adjust Brakes

I have had them for 5 years on two different 5th wheel trailers. They work as advertised. Nice not having to manually adjust the brakes.

RE: Awning Rolls Up Crooked

I had an electric awning on my previous trailer that had a similar problem. What caused the problem was that the awning material had moved on the rail and caused the fabric to roll up and a little crooked and the supports would not align correctly.

I have had my hitch for 9 years and still use the white lithium grease. Easy to obtain and apply. Once a year I wipe the old grease off the tubes and apply all new grease.

RE: Memory Foam Topper Odor?

Let it air out for a few hours and after it is covered with a mattress cover and a sheet you should not notice any odor. That's how it went with our's.

RE: 6 pt hyd auto leveling system and Roto-chocks

I have the 6 pt auto level. I use chocks. First on last off. When unhooking I use only the front 2 then hit auto level when it is unhooked. I do the reverse when hooking up.

RE: Waxing front cap

I use a random orbit polisher on the whole rig. This includes the front cap and decals. I think I use Maguires also.
I need to wash and wax it once our April snow is over in Pittsburgh this week.
X2 The amount of oxidation will determine which Maguires wax to use.

I have purchased 3 LCD HD tvs in the past two years for home and the rv and have never seen a need to recalibrate the tv. I do not remember seeing anything in the instruction manual calling for this.
