RE: The Georgetown has landed..

Congrats Will on your new toy!
I made the leap to a Class A back on 2009 from a 5'er. We have never looked back. You will really enjoy not hearing "Dad, I have to go..." or "I'm thristy, or hungry" again...
Where are you in NC? I'm in Apex between Cary and Garner...

RE: does any 1 no of a auction like cranky appe i can go to

John,
Commonwealth Boat Brokers/King RV
Here's a site that similar to Crankyape... They sell repo RV's. If you're in the market to supplement that RV with another toy or two, they also sell planes and boats...
Interesting to see what they have for sell from time to time.

RE: Motor Aid on New Winnebago

Charles for what it's worth... on my 37L, the "coach heater" that you are asking about in my rig is "upstream" of my water heater at mid coach. Although I have never tested it, I would think that it heats that little radiator all the time as long as the engine is running beacuse the coolant hose leave it and are routed back to the water heater.... My "heater" is physically located under the fridge, and our fridge is located mid coach. The water heater is located underneath the kitchen sink a "stove and small counter length back". Like others have said, all I have on the dash is a rocker switch that is high, low, or off.

RE: Tampa Area/Busch Gardens Campground

I'm with Washley1, if you're planning on doing Universal and SeaWorld on separate days, you will be better off staying closer to Orlando then commuting over to Busch Gardens for the day.
It's at least an hour's drive + between SeaWorld/Universal and Busch Gardens. I would book a site at Fort Wilderness at Disney even if I never planned on going to a Disney park and make that my "home base".

RE: Winnebago Sightseer Owners speak out

Ooh, Ooh, me, me, I have a Sightseer.... And love it. The floorplan that we have is in my opinion unique and unlike any gasser floorplan that I have ever seen.
Here are the things that I have done so far:
- Add a marine XM antenna to the roof
- Add a Wilson bus/rv antenna to the roof for my Verizon aircard
- Added an electical outlet in the cabinet over the passenger side for a wireless router.
- Switched out the plastic OEM toilet with a china Sealand toilet
- Changed out the OEM shower head
- Added another electrical outlet in the bedroom
- Added a swing out TV arm in one of the outside storage compartments
- Added the Onan automatic wireless generator controller
- Added a 12V outlet to the small wall mounted console to the left of the driver.
- Changed the OEM small exhaust fan in the bathroom to a Fantastic Vent fan
- Added Maxair fan covers to the exhaust fans in the bathroom and in the kitchen
- Upgraded the OEM towel bars and robe hooks in the bathroom
- Added a towel bar inside the shower
- Added a dedicated electrical outlet near the sink in the kitchen
- Removed and replaced the POS Parallax converter and replaced it with a Progressive Dynamics smart converter.
- Added straps to keep the kitchen drawers from sliding open during turns.
- Added a whole house water pressure regulator
- Added grommets to the counter tops in the bedroom to route/stash power cords for lamps, clocks, etc.
Its funny now that I look at this list... at first, I didn't think I had done that much to the coach, but when I started thinking about it and listing them out, I have done quite a bit...

RE: Need new bay door spring lift

Kathy,
Here is the website that will help you "decode" what length and force you will need based on your particular door size. Once you have figured out which one you need, you can contact any RV dealer or CampingWorld to actually purchase the item.
Hope this helps...

I have also heard that makecampingeasy.com is a good company to rent from. I have read many positive things about this company and their service.

RE: Just got a I Phone 4 looking for good rv aps

Here are a few that I like:
1. If you have Redbox machines in your area, Redbox is a good one for DVD rentals
2. Cracker Barrel
3. Around Me - Locates all sorts of businesses around your current location
4. Places - Same as Around Me, but from Google
5. Waze - Good traffic and voice routing app
6. TuneIn Radio - if you are a talk radio junkie like I am, this app enables you to stream any kind of radio content that you like. Whether it be talk, music, sports, etc.
7. Red Laser - This will enable you to scan any type of barcode to find the cheapest price for that item, either locally or on line.
8. Wal-Mart
9. Target
10. Home Depot
11. Weather Channel
12. MyRadar Pro - Cool app that turns your phone into a color weather radar. Very helpful when driving and it looks as though storms are approaching...

RE: Itasca Sunova Converter Question

From what I can tell from the drawing of your rig, the converter is located underneath the pantry, bolted against the wall.
Take a look at this drawing. Its a drawing of your model rig.
By the way, if you didn't know already, you can download all of the drawings for your rig here. This was one of the things that sold me on Winnie, was the fact that they were not afraid to show me, the consumer, what was behind the curtain....
Good Luck

RE: Winnebago Rain Gutter extensions?

I too have the same issue and am interested to see if this will work or not... I have picked up the packages of Easy Gutters while in the stores in the past, but everytime, I have been in the stores is when I have been on business trips and didn't want to add them to my luggage to carry on the plane home...

RE: Bounder versus Vista

I too think you will be pleased with your purchase. One thing that swayed me when I was looking at MoHo's was that Winnie provides diagrams of the plumbing and wiring systens, as well as a bunch of other information right from their website.
When you get a chance, go here and download all of the diagrams that pertain to your model and burn them to a couple of cd's. I always keep a copy in the MoHo in case I need to get service while I'm out on the road.
To me it says alot about a company that is not afraid to show how their units are plumbed and wired.
Enjoy that new "home"!
