RE: EZ pass questions

I lived in NJ and had EZ Pass there until they started a monthly fee. I turned that in and got one from Delaware no monthly charge. Don

RE: RV wreck Hard to understand

Makes you wonder about the accuracy, when they show an Allegro bus and call it similar to a Freightliner straight truck. Sluggo Reading the first part of the article should give a clue as to the accuracy of the whole article. "A converted semi trailer". Ever see one of them, must be rare. Don

RE: 2 for 1 discount coupon books for ALASAKA

I also would recommend the Tour Saver, in 2005 the Stan Stephens cruise Was about $80. That first cruise of the 8 we took almost paid for the book. We were in AK almost 3 months so we did have time to take advantage of the coupons. I haven't seen a recent issue so not sure what it now covers. Don

RE: Cooler or travel with fridge on?

we traveled 9 years with the propane on, 6 of those were full time. Never had a problem until the last day that we had the motorhome, it burnt up. OH yea! It was on ELECTRIC, I guess I should have never used it on electric only PROPANE. Don

RE: leaving in a month or so for Alaska Which Route?

In 2005 we arrived in Alaska on May 31 after taking 8 days to cross Canada from Sweetgrass. Alaska hwy going up and Cassiar on the return. If we were to go again we would plan reaching AK by mid May. We spent the whole summer so we could take our time. Early in the season the snow covered mountails are beautiful. Don

RE: FREE Atwood circuit board

This type of thing does happen on occasion. We were sitting aroud at a CG in FL many years ago and a fellow drove up and told the owner he had a noisey Weinguard TV antenna. Replaced it for free. Then continued driving around the park while holding some kind of antenna out the window searching for more noisey antennas. Yes it checked out, as backed by WG. Don

RE: winterhaven resort brownsville tx

I stayed one year in Brownsville (not at Winterhaven) and it was OK but not a lot to do. 20 mile drive to Padre Island or 30 mi to Harlingen also 20 mi to Boca Chica Beach (nothing commercial but you can drive on it. If you fish, you should like the area if not I would suggest looking at other parts of the RGV. Don

RE: Humidity level in RGV

For the last 4 or 5 days humidity in the RGV has been at 100%. The farmers are loving it but I'm getting depressed. Not True! Just because it has been raining doesn't mean humidity is 100%. Yesterday it averaged about 75% and today about 80% Don

RE: building a gas bottle for my 125 lb. tires

Just fill the argon cyl with air @ 2500 lbs or what ever the bottle is rated for. Don't know off the top of my head but You may find the at that pressure you may barely have enough to fill a large tire. Don

RE: South Padre Island Red Tide Advisory

We were at Boca Chica Beach on Thursday, we saw some dead fish and it was very windy which may have reduced the effect of the aresol. I didn't have a problem but my wife and friend noticed some throat irritation. When we stopped at the checkpoint, we chatted with the boarder guard, he said that it sounds like the Red Tide is there and caused those problems. Can't say for sure as I have never had any experience with Red Tide. Don

RE: No smelly black water tank

Are you sure the smell is coming from the black tank? First question is where is the smell coming from, there has to be an opening for the smell to come out of the tank. We were fulltime for 6 years and never used chenicals and No smell. I always kept both drain valves closed until it was time to dump. The gray tank can smell a lot worse than the black and there is a source for vapors to exit the gray tank under each sink in the RV. The anti siphon valve is a check valve with light spring pressure. You will find it at the top of a vertical pipe under the sink, their purpose it to prevent the drains from being emptied when the tanks are emptied. They can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes for a few dollars. Don
