RE: What to do when lacking a dump station

Just wondering what some of you do when your without a dump station at your disposal. (pun intended:R )
I know of at least one trip ill be making this summer (MIS Brooklyn Trails Campground) where the line is just unbearbly long on Monday. By 8:30-9 am its already starting to snake through the campground.
Was hoping to avoid it and maybe find someplace else less crowded down the road. Do other campsites allow you to use their facilities for a fee? I know some Camping Worlds do.
Flying J (Pilot) truck stops usually have a dump station. Look on their website for RV services listed at specific facilities. Check out this site maybe you can find something close.

RE: My 08 F350 6.4 needs a new fuel system !

Ford knows they have a problem and there have been a number of post on the dieselstop forum. They have been denying responsibility in most cases. You should do some reading and then make an informed decision.

Confused on LED's

I have read many of the topics and don't understand which bulbs to order. I have two bulb fluorescent light fixtures that are about 15=18" long. There is a switch on the side of the fixture to operate either one or two. I would like something without a yellow tint.
Thanks

RE: Campground in Dallas area

Just judging from the number of requests on RV.Net, it looks like there's a business opportunity for someone who wants to invest in a decent RV park in the DFW area. Plenty of people travel through the Metroplex on their way to the BEST part of Texas (the Hill Country and San Antonio :B) needing a place to stay overnight.
Not with the price of real estate. For an overnight there is WalMart. For anything longer Treetops is about as nice as you can get. It is located near the interstates. Spent a few months there and was very pleased. There is also Grapevine if you want to be near water.

RE: All Ford Powerstroke owners, please watch this video

Being that my truck is still under the Ford warranty for the powertrain, I stopped by my local Ford dealer and bought the replacement cap ($10.30). I had just put on the aftermarket $4.99 cap Friday but did have a 300 mile trip towing the fiver. I did not think that I had screwed that cap on very tight but I had to use a spanner to get it back off. Now the Ford cap is on. BTW, parts man said that there have been two changes/upgrades to the OEM cap since my truck was built. Interesting, the aftermarket cap I just bought was manufactured in Israel while the new Motorcraft cap was manufactured in India. Now I have been to both of those countries and have to say I get a better feeling from something made in Israel.
Capt,
I bought the Stant 10238 aftermarket cap. Mine is assembled in Mexico, did you say assembled in Israel?

RE: POI Files/SD Disk

You will need the instructions provided with POI loader to access and load the files. You can't just put them on the SD Card.
Once loaded correctly then you touch 'Where To', Extras', 'Custom POIs', then you can see the ones that are loaded.
This other thread you started also has the information Other thread.
I got that part
So putting them on a SD card gets me nowhere. The POI loader has no provision to delete single files its all or none. What a pia.
Put you poi files in a single folder named POI, The create sub folders, Truck Stops, Big Box Stores, etc. Go to poi factory download extra poi editor. You can edit a single file. Save it in the proper format. Yes, when you upload you will delete the entire file on the GPS but you will be reloading them with the corrected version. Hope this helps

RE: Help Finding the hauler that fits my needs

Why not just use the back for an extra room when the golf cart is not in it. We just lay down a carpet and we are good to go. We find the larger room a good choice for an extra bedroom when needed. There are several models which the kitchen wall opens to create one room.

RE: Battery Question

Now that I have had time to explore the options, this is what I found. Evidently the battery's did not have full charges when purchased. I turned the battery switch off even though I had shore power. This caused the battery's not to charge. I did not leave them charge long enough to be fully charged. After I left them for awhile they are now fine. Thanks for the input.

RE: Black Hills SD to Cody Wyoming

If you are truly looking for the least grade stay on the interstate to Billings. Come down 212, then take 72 to 120 to 296. Be sure to take 72 and do not stay on 212. This is the least grade you can take.

RE: POI files

POI Points of Interest. They are files that you download into your GPS which are specialized for your interest. Like campgrounds, or auto stores, truck stops and many others. There are a number of sites you can download free ones from but the POI factory seems to be the best.

RE: All Ford Powerstroke owners, please watch this video

Great Post Capt, On another note I recently had to have my coolant hoses to the radiator repaired. There is a TSB out on them. The cost to repair if you are out of warranty is over $450.00. The new hoses have 2 O-rings.. TSB is 11-6-6

RE: Dually tires

I have tried a lot of different chucks and methods. I finally settled on an 12 stainless flexible extension. I put screw it on when I need to put or check air. I then take it off and keep it in my glove box. Seems to be the best method for me.

Why not give KZ a call and see if you can modify the garage on the Escalade. They are making them again.

RE: Here's how to create and send pdf without scanner

Well my method may not be as simple. But, I do conduct business while on the road. I carry an encrypted usb drive with files and signatures with me. In your case I would tether my phone to a laptop, insert the signature, save the pdf and send it back.
This sounds intriguing. How do you insert anything onto an existing .pdf? Most legal .pdf documents I've dealt with are locked so they cannot be modified.
Not true. Just use Advanced PDF Password Recovery software.
Remember you said that not me.....

I do it two ways. First I request legal documents be sent in a word format, or created as a word document. if they send them in a pdf, most of the time I need only insert a signature for which I have already created a Gif stamp. If I need to date it I use the advanced text editor to insert the text on the line, save the document open it and print it. I have converted from the PDF to a word document, edited it then changed it back to a pdf. If you want to PM me, I will be happy to walk you through one. This is such a simple method that once you get use to it, it becomes second nature.
Here is a link to one I modified. Test pdf

I use myfax.com as a service so all my documents can come to me either in pdf or a Microsoft format. Have never had an issue and I prefer having the ability to modify the document rather than just sign it. I also get quite a few faxes in a week and I just view them on my phone when they arrive. When you want to send a document that you freshly created, you print it as a pdf and email it using the outgoing number and myfax.com and it comes up across the other party's fax machine. I guess it boils down to your choice of methods.

Battery Question

Replaced my two 12 volt aged battery's with two like kind in January. I have the unit hooked to shore power but had the battery switch off. So, I guess they could not charge. There is absolutely no drain on them. Both were dead when I tried to use them. When I turned the shore power on they recharged. After about four hours went out they showed charged but lost their charge very fast. Should I put a regular charge on them?
