RE: traveling and fishing licenses

I have gotten licenses in CA, Ohio, Oregon, Idaho, Louisiana, South Dakota and Maryland. All are non resident except the three where we were residents. There is no federal license as far as I know.

RE: Most efficient TC dry bath use of space

We have the 971 and love it. Too bad it is not made anymore......I like the dry bath and it has plenty of storage for us.

RE: Lynx Levelers

We have had ours for over 15 years and for 9 they were used constantly. We had a few break due to unstable ground. The rest are still in use.

RE: Does anyone have any snow yet?

We have been well below 0 for the past few days. Bluebird skies and no new snow. About 3' on the ground. Waaaaaaay below what we should have. :(

RE: Height of Carports and RV's?

We have always built with the biggest RV allowed on the road in mind. Currently the building plans are for a 36x50x15 with 2 14'h doors. At resale time, the building will not limit the potential buyers.

RE: Easiest Places to Get Fuel?

When we had the big rig, we used truck stops and the truck lanes. If that was not feasible, we have been known to find a spot to unhook, go get fuel (while one stays with the fiver) and then hook up and be on our way. Another way is to fuel after stopping for the night, then hook up and leave in the morning.

RE: Moving on from toy hauler to a full timer

We fulltimed for 9 years and had three fivers. We got it right with the third one, a Teton, which is not made anymore. It was a heavy beast and we hauled with a Freightliner. We had the winter package, W/D, Motosat, Bigfoot leveling system...everything we thought we would need or want. We loved the rig and the lifestyle. We would still be out there, but life interfered.

Crabbin cabin Why? Because this is no different from any other threads that cover the same topic numerous times. If you don't like it....don't read it. If you have nothing to contribute...don't post, or send me notifies, for that matter. DianneOK, moderator

RE: How to load a Truck Camper video

We, also, have less than an inch on either side. I try to line up as close to square as I can with very little wheel turning. Terry spots, as I am too short (only on one end, tho) to see into the bed. It usually takes less than 20 minutes start to finish.

Phil....of course I would, but the road will always be there, if and when we decide to do it again. Right now, we are enjoying our life here in snow country :B

RE: End of fulltimming

Our 9 years on the road taught us that life can be lived anywhere! We found the perfect place to land after a wonderful ride :B Wouldn't trade those years for anything!
