Electric breaker blows when compressor comes on

Looking for some ideas. I have a 2001 Winnebago Chieftain with basement air and heat pump setup. Despite the age this unit is very nice as it has always been stored inside and has low hours and miles. The breaker that controls the compressor blows with regularity but not every time the compressor comes on. When I reset the breaker it will work fine -- for a while. Doesn't matter if I am using shore power or generator. I am thinking about just replacing the breaker. Any ideas?
The power control center always reads 30 amp no matter if it is plugged into 50 amps or with the generator. It this correct?
Thanks for the help.

Ford F53 fuel filter replacement

Working on Ford 2001 with F53 chassis. I have located the fuel filter but am unable to remove the old on. How is it done? Special tools needed?
Thanks,
Dave

RE: 2001 Chieftain AC amps

Got to checking this afternoon around the front TV and cap area. Sitting still a huge amount of heat is radiated through the fiberglass cap. Has any one tried insulating that area? This is NO insulation there. There is a 4 x 12" opening behind the front TV that is open to roof letting lots of heat in. Trying duct tape for the rest of the trip.

2001 Chieftain AC amps

Just purchased and on first long trip. Currently 900 miles from home with a hot RV. Driving with generator and coach a/c on does not cool well and loses ground as the day gets hotter. Energy management system says 17 amps with generator on but 27 amps with shore power. Any suggestions? Still have 10 days left.
