RE: Over forty campgrounds in the Moab/Arches Area

We stayed at Arch View RV park. About 10 miles west of Arches NP and on the main highway. It was about 4 years though but then a nice park. A very nice view of the Arches especially in the morning during sunrise

RE: Combining two 4.000 W Generators ??

Thanks for all the replies and good info. I will not use them together. Guess two generators will come in handy if friends and family go camping (boondocking) with me... Or use two for home emergencies...

Combining two 4.000 W Generators ??

I own a Champion 4,000 W Peak Generator and about to inherit another one that is exactly the same. Would like to know if I could use both together to get 8,000 W power? Or would that be an overkill?
I have used one of them during the summer and eventhough I thought 4,000 watts was plenty, it barely gave enough power to run the air conditioner. Also would like some ideas of how to connect both together!
I suppose hauling two heavy generators might be a pain, But guess I could also take both when friends/family join us?
Thanks in advance...

Using the RV's Furnace while boondocking

Does the Heater run on shore power or 12 volt power. I know (or I believe) the propane provides the heat, but can the fans run off 12volt power. Never gave it a thought before because before I was always hooked up when using the heater. But I am planning a trip and boondocking for the first time in cold weather. The heater is going to be definatly needed! I am presently not home so I can't actually test it at this time. THANKS!

RE: Fuel Gauge not working properly

Did you leave it running when filling it? If so that is the source of the problem. Read the manual for more information.
No... Can't remember ever letting the truck run while filling...

Fuel Gauge not working properly

I have now owned my Ford PS 250 for five years and the Fuel gauge has always worked properly. But all of a sudden after I filled the tank up last week. It indicated 1/4 full. Kinda scary for I am sure it was filled for I put in about $95 in it. But went back to the station to check and it only took a few dollars. So it must be the indicator. After about an hour on the road it did register about full. Is it because maybe it was almost empty when I filled it up. I usually don't wait so long to fill up but forgot this time? Or something else. I do sometimes use diesel additives, but havent for a while? Thanks!
