RE: broken skylight cover

I replaced my cover because the factory one cracked at the screw holes, and leaked into the shower. Here is a link to the page where I posted pics of the job:

RE: Any interesting places to stop on I-5 North?

Railroad Park RV resort in Dunsmuir is a great little RV park. There are nice little shops in Dunsmuir and Mt. Shasta. Lake Siskiyou, in Mt. Shasta is also a nice place to camp. There are quite a few waterfalls in the area. McCloud is a really neat little town, just up 89 from Mt. Shasta. The Mt. Shasta area is one of the prettiest spots in CA.

RE: Adding Roof Vent

I added a vent to the roof in our kitchen. It wasn't too difficult. Here is a post with pics of the job:

RE: 2012 RAM Laramie Longhorn

My Crew Cab dually rear seat is quite comfortable for three adults...no complaints from them when they ride back there....in fact, more room in that back seat than my 07.5' Chevy CC dually.
I think that's true for the outboard seats, but the center part (5th seating position) is a bit short. No reason for it, that I can see?
My 8 year old daughter loves the center seat. She is much more comfortable there because of the shorter seat. Plus, it allows better access to the cup holders on the floor.

RE: Does anyone read the owners manual anymore?

I enjoy reading the manual. If I didn't read the manual for my new 2011 Ram 2500, I would have never known that you can roll down the windows with the keyless remote and you can use the cruise control buttons to raise the idle speed in park to decrease warm up time.
Lots of good info in the manuals! Also, I actually like the DVD that came with the truck. Makes info easy to find. I also got the free Ram iPhone app that has alot of good videos explaining the features of the truck.

RE: Great Gadget

I just bought a gadget that, at first glance, seems silly. It's a puck style LED light that turns ON when there is ambient light, and turns OFF in the dark. It's intended to light up a closet or cabinet and it works great! I put it in a cabinet in my trailer and now when I open the cabinet the light automaticaly turns on and I can easily find what I'm looking for. Close the door and the light goes out. It also has a mode that lets you manually turn it ON and OFF. If you get one of these, temporarily tape it in various locations and try it out to make sure it reliably turns ON and OFF and lights up the area you want before you permanently mount it.
If the light turns off in the dark, how does it ever turn off when its on? It sounds like it would come on once, then stay on till the battery dies...

RE: OK I feel stupid. Can't find park cable hookup

Maybe an email or phone call to Nomad's customer service would help.

RE: Replacing exhaust fan

I also installed the Vortex fan kit into my existing vent. It was very easy, and the entire job is done inside the trailer, nothing on the roof is affected. I took photos of the job, and posted them here:

RE: Fence post sewer hose mounting- **FINISHED**

My Rhino hose fits in our bumper with the fittings attached, and it appears to be the same size as yours. Even the 90 degree fitting fits just fine.
