RE: Breathtaking stupidity in Yellowstone

It isn't just the bears. I was reading a blog from a ranger that works in Yellowstone. She said she had to stop a man and women from sending their 4 year old daugther with a handful of grass up to a mother Elk and her baby. :S

RE: Need Mudflap Advice

I use the Duraflaps also and have had good luck with them. They are very rugged.

RE: Faulty Black Water Fluid Level Sensor

I've had the same problem. I've been told to dump a bag of ice into the black tank with a couple gallons of water before hitting the road. Supposedly the ice will help knock things off of the sensors and sides of the tank before it melts. I'm going to give it a shot my next trip and see how it works.

RE: Access Pass

You do need an adventure pass to park or boondock in the San Bernardino National Forest. I imagine one is also required in the Angeles National forest. I'm not sure if they are required in developed campgrounds. Here is a link to more info: Adventure Pass Info

RE: San Diego Area - Recent Stays

I don't about drug mobile homes, but quite a few of the lots are empty. The ones on the water are fixed up pretty nice.

RE: San Diego Area - Recent Stays

We stayed at Mission Bay RV twice last year. It was nice enough that we are going back again this August. Not a lot of Amenities, but nice people, real clean and lots of security. It's a great base location for doing stuff in San Diego.

RE: CA 395

Bring your fishing poles! There's great trout fishing all over the place. :)
