If i remember right the Rainier was build for poulsbo rv sold for around 19K i don't think there build any more. Salam is a lower cost unit,Jayco and Keystone are nice. Its hard to find a 21 footer in good shape in the NW.

RE: Spell Check

If you're using Internet Explorer, take a look at the free add-on Speckie. It's a real time spell checker, works similar to the spell checker found in Firefox and Chrome. It's also compatible with both IE8 and IE9.I just installed it, and I like what I see so far. Thanks for the tip.
Just downloaded works great
thanks

RE: The Alaska Highway is a One-Way Road Again

Just got back from a CRUISE/RAIL trip to Alaska and want to do it in the RV next year. Fairbanks was great and want to do it at a slower pace.
I would move to Ketchakan. Neat place for me.
Work up in Ketchaken in the winter with the wind, snow and ice all at once. The rain gauge is in feet on the dock it gets around 11 1/2 feet a year.

RE: UNSAFE TOWING- What Do You Do?

Unless it is a commercial unit I don't think there is a whole lot law enforcement can do about it. I'm a LEO in Ohio and I don't know of any laws regarding private towing rigs.
If the TV is over The gross combination weight rating (GCWR) is the maximum allowable combined mass of a towing road vehicle, passengers and cargo in the tow vehicle it is against the Law.
Most state can take you to a scale and weight you.

RE: Leaking water

They can be fixed ez. The first thing you have to do is figure out the fitting you need, T , 90, Npt national pipe tread ect.
They sell fittings called Shark Bite or Watts makes one also out of plastic,Watts has made fittings since the 1880s. u can buy them at a good hardware store or the big box. They just push on very good fittings about $6.00 ea
If u have slack in the tube just cut it off , u can grind the band off but leaves a ruff edge.
You can buy about a 3 foot of PEX to add to what u have, if needed.
Oh these fittings work on copper,PEX,CPVC and the gray water lines,
Let us know how it goes.

RE: Truck / Trailer wiring issues

Horse trailers have a different wiring pattern then RV.
No 7 pin are all the same or there would be smoke all the time which i have seen.

RE: Truck / Trailer wiring issues

Never hook up a trailer that you have not check out.
I have seen smoke coming out of the stake pockets before.
Check the ground wire and make sure they have it on the right lug in the 7 pin. NOT the center pin that is acc. i have seen the backup lights on a new pick-up on the center pin and the trailer ground center pin not good.
