RE: Hitch hookup aids

I have these and they get it perfect for me every time. The bright color makes them very easy to see. Hitchin' Rods

RE: Need help finding a mattress

Hey DJ, in Boise you can get a big chunk of foam in several densities from Mill End Fabrics. The just moved to a new location on Overland near Latah. There is also a place that specializes in RV mattresses. Can't remember their name off hand, but they are at the corner of Federal Way and amity. When we wanted a new mattress, we got a $99 foam mattress from RC Willey and it has worked out well for us.

RE: Running with your TC?

Back in my triathlon days, my camper was the way to go to carry my gear and give me a convenient, comfortable place to sleep.

RE: Why can't we...?

I have an easier solution. Drive a big ol' lag bolt through the floor of the camper into the bed. :B

RE: Coral Bay, Western Australia

Voted yesterday and it was close to impossible to get down to the five voted for. What incredible places we manage to get our campers to. I had a lot of trouble too.

RE: California and Oregon coasts with no reservations...doable?

The marina in Winchester Bay, Oregon is first-come, first-served. We were there Labor Day weekend and there were spaces available. There is also a FCFS parking lot in the Newport Bay Marina that's dirt cheap. lot's of space there, too.

RE: I can’t believe it. I SOLD the camper

For the OP, congrats on your sale and the decision to upgrade. That's always fun. I did not know this forum had classifieds. Am I missing something? Brooks There was a great deal here the other day on a Lance Legend 980. It sold in two hours. If it's priced right, it'll move.By 'here' I meant Boise. It showed up again. Turns out it is a scam. Too bad, it was a nice camper. :(

RE: Kamachtka (russia) no camper

It's amazing how similar the flora and fauna are between two places separated by such distance. Your friend takes great pictures.

RE: Any recommended cheap TV antennas?

It's true that you don't need a special antenna. I use two pieces of speaker wire attached to a coax adapter and I get stations in metropolitan areas. Digital reception is an on/off thing. You either get a strong enough signal to display or you don't. There are no hazy static signals like you used to get with analog. Sometimes I have to reposition my antenna several times to find the sweet spot.

RE: Help with Removing a Hydro Flame 79/80 Furnace For Repair

...will be happy to get the same heat and no squealing. At the end of the day, that's what you want. :) Mine went out in single-digit temps and it wasn't a pleasant night.

RE: roof vents - metal vs. plastic?

Our first camper had metal vents. They are far more durable. The downside is that they are noisier when it rains and they don't let in light when closed. We liked the ping of rain on the vents.

RE: Anyone know if 80's model Lances will fit late model Dodges?

When I put my Lance in my 2000 Chevy, it sat crooked. I realized it was the box around the bathroom that was hitting the side of the bad. Fortunately, there were a couple of inches of space between the shower and the exterior wall. In about an hour, I was able to rebuild the portion of the wall around the shower and it sits straight now.

RE: For those that tow

That's cool. Wish it were a little taller inside. It would be a pain loading a trailer with gear and having to hunch over.

RE: Help with Removing a Hydro Flame 79/80 Furnace For Repair

I went out and took mine out in about 3.5 minutes. I removed the two screws inside and it felt like it was still secured. I went out and removed the exhaust tube and pulled a little harder and it popped right out. I don't think that the exhaust outlet was holding it in, but you will need to remove it to re-install the furnace due to alignment issues. Hope this helps.

RE: Help with Removing a Hydro Flame 79/80 Furnace For Repair
